Mom of 2 Littles, Recovery Was a Total Non-issue!

WORTH IT
I should've done it sooner! Let me start by saying I am a military spouse and have two small kiddos ages 4 and 2. I'm not overweight (5'4" 140lbs) but had loose skin from pregnancies that working out was not goin to fix. In fact, the more fit I got, the looser the skin got. I had a lot of anxiety about how I'd manage the kids with my husband being gone for work so much. I had my mom stay with me for 3 weeks which was PLENTY of time! I had researched the procedures for about 3 years and finally to the leap! I had a CBL (which includes TT with muscle repair), BL, BA (310cc Allergen, soft touch silicone, moderate, utm) on August 10 and have been so incredibly impressed with not only my results, but how much of a non-issue recovery was! I'm 5 weeks post op currently and recovery has been a breeze! The kids have been so understanding through the entire process. There was no pain - only a tight/sore feeling, but nothing that was not easily managed. The Exparel shot clearly works wonders! The first 3 days are just getting used to your new body and the new tightness/numbness from surgery. I kept a simple timeline from my recovery to share with others. I hope this helps!
- 4 days post op I was able to shower alone, wash my hair alone without feeling so weak- 9 days post op I did laundry alone, not nearly the task I thought it would be!- 10 days post op was a real turning point. I made breakfast for the kids, vacuumed the house (super lightweight vacuum on hardwood floors), showered fully standing without needing to sit midway. - 13 days post op I drove for the first time and went to the grocery store alone- 22 days post op I was pretty much to do anything I needed to do while following doctor's orders of not picking up anything over 10lbs. I even helped spread pine straw in the yard that day. - 28 days post op I woke up flatter than ever and felt soooo good. Wore shorts and a compression tank this day instead of my undergarment. I'm 5ish weeks post op today (39 days) and loving my new body and my new life! I have SO much more confidence, clothes fit so much better, and my husband (while I know he loved me the way I was before) has been so surprised with the process as well. Dr. Curtsinger and his staff were amazing from start to finish! They are so patient with all of the questions and anxieties you may have - believe me, I had hundreds of questions. I'd do it over again in a heartbeat! Don't wait or talk yourself out of it. It's truly life changing! As an incentive for posting a review, this reviewer received an entry into RealSelf’s monthly $500 gift card giveaway.

Incredible results!! I have a consultation in a few weeks I'm very nervous. Did you have to pay extra from the exparl shot? And what was the total cost of your procedure if you don't mind me asking?
