I put on 20kg during my first pregnancy due to lack of knowledge on healthy eating and ways to properly look after oneself during pregnancy. My weight increased from 50kg (1.64m in height) to 70kg at the end of the pregnancy. My tummy was stretched out like a massive watermelon. But it did not concern me at the time. I had absolutely no idea of stretchmarks, loss skin or how to prevent them, although I was 24 years old. I thought everything would just fall back to normal when the baby was born.
I first started to realise that my saggy tummy, the loose skin and wrinkles on my tummy were not ever going away when my daughters were 4 and 2 years old, 11 years ago. At that time, I first came across the term "tummy tuck". So I did a brief search online and got totally shocked by the cost. I could not justify spending this sort of money on a selective surgery on myself. So I gave up the idea.
About 5 years ago, I finally woke up to exercising and healthy eating. It had been on and off for the first 3 years then it became a lot more consistent about 2 years ago when I started to follow Jillian Michaels’ workout dvds at home. I dare to say this woman has changed my life. Not only I started to lose fat, gaining muscles, I became a total workout addict! Must admit I can never eat clean all the time, loving my chocolates, but I do try my best I can. Then last October, I joined the local gym, which offers Les Mills classes. Man, wasn’t this one of the best choices I have made in my life!! Loving those intensive one-hour long pump classes, body attack classes and most of all – the combat classes! They leave me sweating, puffing and totally motivated.
I have been going to the gym for these classes usually 5-6 times a week. I am feeling more healthy and stronger than ever before at the age of 41.
BUT, as most of the good things in life, there’s always a “but” following them. My saggy stomach skin is still hanging there, covering up the strong abs I have got. The wrinkles are still above my belly button. I still cannot wear any bikinis. In certainty tight fit clothing, the overhanging skins clearly shows.
My family, hubby and our two lovely daughters, are very supportive of me doing this makeover. I booked the tummy tuck in December 2017 for the procedure on Monday 10th September 2018. The reason for the long gap is because I cannot take any holidays from February to August every year, due to the nature of the business and my job. Never mind, the long wait is almost over. Then in May this year, after reading lots and lots of reviews on RS, I decided to book in for breast augmentation as well – hence the mommy makeover.
I booked this makeover through a company called Gorgeous Getaways. My surgeon is Dr Veerawat Tirananmongkol from Phuket Plastic Surgery Institution (PPSI), Phuket, Thailand. Yes, hubby and I will be traveling to Phuket from Melbourne, Australia on Saturday 8th September. My surgery is scheduled on Monday 10th September following the face to face consultation with Dr Veerawat Tirananmongkol.
I have been very nervous about this surgery. But by reading so many lovely ladies’ blogs on RS, I am now more prepared than ever, from what to prepare before the surgery to the every single recovery stage after the surgery. I can’t thank you lovely ladies enough and would love to share my journey with all of you.

About the breasts.....
baby_tummyJuly 15, 2018
So my mommy makeover includes breast lift and implants and tummy tuck. The breast implants will be used is Mentor Cohesive Silicone Gel - round. I will be staying in the hospital for 5 nights. Then the hospital driver will take me to my hotel by the beach.
From my research Dr Veerawat tends to place the implants over the muscle. I googled the pros and cons. Generally, the over the muscle method is used when the client is using the silicone breast implants and has a good amount of their own breast tissue, around a B cup or larger.
I don’t know how many cc will my implants be as I haven’t tried on any sizers yet. Currently I am wearing C cup bras, so I guess I will be quite happy with a D or even a DD. Would love to see the fuller upper poles. And can’t wait to be able to wear bras with no paddings! Bring on the strapless tops and dresses!! Don't want them to be too big as I don't want to them be in the way when I do push ups and weight lifting in the gym.
I guess all my concerns and questions will eventually be discussed and decided on the face to face consultation with my surgeon on the surgery day! This is the problem with doing the surgery overseas, it’s almost impossible to have consultations with surgeons before the surgery date. Unless you’re willing to spend the extra money and time to travel over there on a separate occasion. Unfortunately I don’t have the resource to do it.
However I did do my research on Dr Veerawat Tirananmongkol. He has got very high credentials and 20+ years experience in cosmetic surgery fields. He is specialised in breast augmentation. Many female clients of his spoke very highly about him on the internet and recommended him.
Looking forward to meeting with him in person!

Some measurements at 7 weeks away
baby_tummyJuly 22, 2018
The surgery is 7 weeks away from today. I noticed my period will land on my surgery day! So contacted my surgeon through Gorgeous Getaways. The Surgeon’s reply is to take contraceptive pills to avoid the period. Will book an appointment with my GP next week to get the subscription.
This morning I took some measurements after getting up.
Chest: 33” = 84cm
Waist (smallest part): 29” = 74cm
Waist (mommy poach): 34” = 86.5cm
Hip: 35” = 89cm
Hopefully after surgery chest will be at least 36” and the waist can be down to 25”. And the mommy pouch disappears for good!
Here are some more before pics. Still 7 weeks away from the surgery. Not really feeling nervous yet. Just can’t wait for the holiday. I am also taking 3 weeks off work – that’s heavenly!
