Swimsuit top

Here is a comparison in the exact same swimsuit top VS 34DDD. Boobs hold their own instead of the weight on my neck!

6 week update!

Today marks 6 weeks, while I thought I would be further along in the recovery process (based on what I was told and prepared for) I'm at least making progress in the swelling department. In my mind I would be buying cute sexy clothes at this point, but best laid plans...lol
My incision healing is great, most of the scabs are gone now and my incisions are looking great. The spots under both breasts at the 'T' are almost healed and quit draining about a week ago.
My swelling by the end of the day is usually pretty uncomfortable even with very light activity and my back is killing me. Both breasts are still tender and uncomfortable, pretty sure it's the muscles still healing. I also get exhausted by the afternoon after hardly doing anything.
My PS does not use compression garments, but gave me clearance to wear compression yoga pants or spanx if comfortable 2 weeks ago. They are mostly comfortable when I put them on in the morning and do seem to help the swelling stay down but end up hurting the muscles in my back and upper abdomen after a couple hours, so much that can stand it and take them off. Other women seem to swear by them, maybe it's because I didn't wear one from the beginning, don't know...
We are supposed to go on vacation in 3 weeks and may have to postpone it because I can barely fit into my 'fat' shorts at this point. Trying to stay positive...I've made huge progress in the last 3 weeks so hopefully my swelling will be minimal by then! Fingers crossed!
Tried on lingerie that I've never worn today because my boobs were too flat before, and it looks great! Took a pic and sent it to my hubby! ????
Happy healing everyone.

3 week mark!

Yesterday was my 3 week postop mark. The past week has definitely been an emotional one. I'm not typically emotional so it has been that much harder for me. My abdominal swelling has been off the charts coupled with continual drainage from both breasts and abdominal cramping. I contacted my PS office to discuss my concerns, the patient coordinator told me to suck it up and women are fully back to work by now. Needless to say, when my hubby got home and I told him what happened and that I felt like I'm was being a baby or there must be something really wrong with me. The next day, without my knowledge, my hubby called the patient coordinator, apparently made it known that he didn't appreciate what had happened and requested the PS to contact me.
I went in to see my PS to make sure nothing was wrong, he told me I look great, am healing well and not to be worried, and what I'm experiencing is normal and to be patient. Of course you think that would help, but its depressing to be 5" larger around the waist than before surgery. And depressing to be behind in the healing timeline from the average and for what I planned for, even though I've followed all the instructions and have a great diet. It was relieving to know that I wasn't having any complications and I was okay.
Today I'm finally walking straight, however it's not very comfortable and I made an easy dinner for my hubby and I. Today feels like a little bit of normal life, and I stress a little bit, but steps in the right direction.
I'm going to try ultrasound therapy fir the swelling on Monday. I'm hopeful that it will give me some relief.
Happy healing everyone!
