WORTH IT$16,000
I was 206 pounds by age 16. Heaviest ever was 215....Lowest was 135 and after years of yo-yoing, I have found my version of peace with food. I missed out on a vibrant care free youth and I missed out on experiencing a youthful body. THAT is why I am shelling out $16,000 (Canadian) for breastlift, tummy tuck and lipo. Third and final consult was today. I got a smile out of the doc this time :) it is 1/2 paid. It’s gonna happen soon! 2 out of 3 prescriptions filled, pre op labs done. clinic provided me the compression garments I need to bring with me. After care is sorted. Should I rent a walker and toilet seat riser or are these unnecessary? I don’t have kids so dont need to arrange for child care. Any other things I can do to prepare? Thanks all. ( it’s happening!!)

You're in great hands. Dr. Turner did my breast reduction 10 years ago... lipo and breast lift last year. He's great. Don't be worried about his quiet demeanour. He's actually a hoot. I just messaged his office yesterday to look at scheduling another surgery. Best advice I can give you is to baby yourself. The healing process is so important. You don't want to pull on the incisions. Stay ahead of the pain with your meds but also get a stool softener. The pain meds can cause constipation. I used Sennekot and there's also a tea at Shoppers or Vital Health called Smooth Move. It works amazing. If you really baby yourself for a couple of weeks it will be so worth it. You'll heal better. Also, I didn't shower for a number of days. I know that they say you can but I just sponge washed as I wanted to ensure my incisions stayed very dry. Also if there's any little pieces of skin that get kind of hard and crusty, don't pull at them. Same with the steri strips. I flicked off a piece of loose skin and left myself a bigger mark around the incision. I changed my gauze regularly and eventually like after 10 days showered and gently pulled off the strips and tape. Try to sleep elevated with pillows or better yet if you have a recliner. I lived in mine for the first four days. And lastly wear the compression garments. He's fantastic with lipo and getting you a great shape and the compression garments will make your shape even nicer. Good luck!!!

Did you do implants with your lift? How are things going? Thank you for sharing your review.

No implants. I didn’t have the money nor the desire. I didn’t ever want to have to repeat any of this surgery and sometimes implants have to be swapped out.

I am a planner. I have everything I need for a comfortable recovery. I will have someone home with me the first four days. The biggest unknown is : how bad will the pain be and will the prescriptions work well enough? This is making me pretty anxious! Surgery on March!

Oops forgot one thing... in the hospital or surgery centre you'll likely be on morphine for the first bit. If you have the option to stay overnight do it!!! The hospital has drugs, lol. For going home he gave me T3's. Also he'll send you home with antibiotics. I didn't have pain rather was just really sore. You're bruised from the lipo. Take the pain meds as prescribed. Don't wait until you have pain. And again... stool softener and the tea.
