Mommy makeover
WORTH IT$11,600
I haven't been on here in a while and finally decided to do an update. Hopefully this can help anyone that is looking into getting a "Mommy makeover". I do apologize in advance if this is a really long update I will try to give as much information as I can. My stats will be below at the end of this post along with all the doctors information and the social media sites on where to find them.
First and foremost I'll start off by saying, I feel like a alot of people get dragged down when it comes to getting any work done whether if its cosmetic, plastic, fillers, or botox ect. At the end of the day it shouldn't matter what anyone has to say. I believe that anyone that wants to do anything, fix anything that bothers them if you are doing it for yourself then I'm all for it. I'm a mother of 5 and after my 4th pregnancy it didn't matter how much I worked out and what diets I tried, food I ate my stomach wouldn't go back to what it was. Therefore I knew I needed a muscle repair so I decided to do surgery.

WHAT I HAD DONE
I am currently 7 months post-op. I decided to get surgery August of 2020 in Mexico and I went through Vive Plastic Surgery and chose team "Guadalajara" which consists of Dr Felix Marquez aka Dr.G (Dr. Guadalajara) and Dr. Flavio Ochoa. My mommy makeover consisted of an Extended tummy tuck, Lipo 360, BBL ( Brazilian butt lift), and Breast augmentation.
BREAST AUGMENTATION
Dr. Flavio Ochoa was the doctor who performed my breast augmentation. For my breast augmentation I got Motiva implants 355CC HIGH PROFILE above the muscle ROUND shaped (high profile is considered FULL on the chart board for the Motiva brand). I went with 355CC because I wanted to be more on the "smaller natural" side for my upper body, and decided to go with the HIGH profile ROUND (shape) because I also still wanted that cleavage look towards the upper pole of the breast area. As far as where they made the incision, the implant incision was made under my breast. I did not want the incisions to be on the areolas. The incision is really small not really noticeable maybe about an inch or so. Pain wise (1-10) it was a 1 maybe a 2, to be honest I didn't have any pain. It was more of a heavy feeling on the chest and a bit of soreness, I don't know if it was maybe because the implant is above the muscle. I've heard that if the implant goes below (under) the muscle it is more painful and it takes longer to recover.
IMPLANT BRANDS
I think Vive plastic surgery currently offers two brands for their breast implants which are Mentor and Motiva. The reason I decided to go with Motiva, was because of the gummy bear texture to where the implant is soft but is more on the firmer side, and I believe Mentor the doctor had mentioned was on the soft side "natural feeling" if that makes any sense....from what I was explained.
ETT/LIPO360/BBL
Dr. Felix Marquez performed my extended tummy tuck along with the lipo 360, and BBL. Before my surgery I talked to Dr. Felix Marquez, he had asked what I expected from my surgery. I had told him I wanted a natural look to where I didn't look top heavy (breast) nor overly exaggerated towards the butt area. I asked for a natural look with some projection and an upside down heart shaped butt. I feel like he went above and beyond what I asked for. As far as pain for all of the procedures 1-10.... 10 being the worst, I would say a 2 as well. My pain tolerance I would say is pretty good. I've had 5 children, all natural births with no pain meds through the IV, no epidural, none of that luckily. I feel really really sore and a burning sensation I'm thinking because of the lipo. Other than that is wasn't really bad.
TYPE OF ANESTHESIA
I chose to get the regional anesthesia which is "epidural" and I believe they sedate you so you sleep while they do surgery. So NO I was not awake.
RECOVERY HOUSE
After surgery I paid to stay with Vive Plastic's Recovery house. I recommend them 100% hands down they are the best. They help you with everything... literally everything , showers, food (healthy) , wound care. Just everything. I stayed 8 Days total, I wish I would have stayed at least 10-14 days as I had no one to cook for me at home and its hard when you have an extended tummy tuck you cant stand up straight. The nurses at the recovery house make sure you leave knowing how to take care of your wounds how to keep them clean. How go clean your drains ect.
MY OVER ALL EXPERIENCE
To summarize everything in the shortest way possible : I went into Mexico the day before surgery stayed in a hotel 5min away. I had to stop eating at 5pm as I had to be at the hospital at 6AM. The day of surgery I went to the hospital got lab work down, the covid test was done as well. As soon as they get your results they take you into your room then the doctor comes in asks you questions. The doctor marks you up after that a nurse takes you into the surgery room, you meet the anesthesiologist he explains your options. When I decided, the anesthesiologist asked if I wanted them to do a countdown with me until I fell asleep. After I just remember waking up I was in my faja in my room. I puked twice I'm assuming from the sedation, the nurses do not let you eat until 2-3 hrs after surgery, and all your allowed to eat/drink is jello and water. You spend one day at the hospital then they discharge you. Before being discharged they help you shower. After I was discharged I was picked up by the recovery house. As soon as I got to the recovery house they took me to my room they had me eat. I was not able to shower the following day. They only allow you to shower every other day for about 2-2 1/2 weeks. After the 8th day I went to my post-op check up, I have nothing bad to say about the Doctors nor the recovery house they are AMAZING... But I can't say the same about Vive plastic , the post-op check up , or the coordinators. Post-op is trash they set you up on an early appointment and when you are there they have you wait 2+hrs mind you, some are in pain, you cant sit down in the chairs they provide they are uncomfortable and you also can't stand too long because of your incision....the doctor that checks you on post-op is not the same doctor that did your surgery. They are two completely different doctors. Coordinators over book patients sometimes, once they have your deposit they go mia until its a week sometimes days before your surgery. Their communication sucks they need to improve on that.
RECOMMENDATIONS
I do recommend the recovery house.
I recommend Dr. Felix Marquez and Dr. Flavio Ochoa hands down; but I recommend you go to their private practices in Guadalajara Mexico to where you get one on one with the doctors themselves not only before but after surgery for pre-op and post-op care .......because they are the ones that know exactly what they did to your body and can help explain certain things that Vive couldn't because they didnt know what happen during surgery. I wish I would have known sooner that both doctors had their private practice before putting my deposit down with Vive Plastic Surgery this is my personal experience.
I recommend getting at least 30+ post-op care massages back to back starting 2 days after surgery if not even more than 30 which helps a lot not only with the swelling but the fluids you still carry inside from lipo to aviod fibrosis, and seromas, but also to help with keeping your results. Just because you have surgery doesn't mean you can eat like crap again and you cant gain all that weight, back because you sure can. I still get massages once a month to keep up with my results. Sometimes twice a month if I feel swollen. I do still get swollen time to time.
I recommend taking Iron/Blood builders/Vitamin C/B-complex/Folic Acid a 1-2 months before surgery. Also after surgery you should be taking Iron and Blood builders.
WHAT TO TAKE
Because I stayed at the recover house I only took
-2 pairs of button up tops (pjs)
-Adult depends

-slippers
-compression socks (very important)

Change of dates
So as of now my date has been changed to May 15th. Today I went to do labs at Vive. The process was a bit irritating as they changed my 10AM appointment to a 7AM with only a one day notice. When I got to Vive, the office is really clean, looks very nice, but there was no space it is really small. There were so many woman in such a small office including people in the hallway, very crowded. If you plan on going to do labs there....A BIG suggestion is to have PATIENCE lots of it, as they are not very well organized, they only had one coordinator on her own to help I would say 20 or more, while still some coming in and out. They first had everyone fill out a questionnaire. After the questionnaire, they have you get your blood drawn, one by one (appointment was pointless) then they bring you back out into the office to fill out another form while you wait for the cardiovascular/cardiology test. After that test you go back out and wait for the final exam with a one on one with a doctor who asks you the same questions that are on the questionnaire so, that's basically it... oh they give you the results either later in the afternoon or the day after. Mind you I was there since 7AM I did not get out until 1030AM.

Why did your date change? Did they mention anything about covid19?
No my coordinator lost all my information and scheduled someone else on my date.
