Finally Did Something For Me
WORTH IT
After raising five kiddos and sending them into adulthood and turning 50 and hitting menopause, I was really wanting to change my body. A couple years ago, I started following Dr. Swet Chaudhari’s Instagram account. My gynecologist told me he would be a really good doctor to consider for exchanging or removing the implants I had had in place for so many years. She said he is very skilled in complex breast surgeries. That referral stayed with me , and I continued to follow the page, enjoying that Dr. “C” always seemed to be unapologetically himself. Fast forward, my husband and I had another conversation about this implant surgery I needed to do, and we decided why not do everything I’ve been wanting? I wasn’t getting any younger. I got my appointment set for my consultation and I happened to be seeing my gynecologist again the next day. I told her I had finally made the jump to see Dr. C and she was very pleased I was considering him.
I was nervous and excited at my consultation. By then I had watched every video of every surgery and his narratives he published on his website. I did a lot of background checking and read all of his reviews but all of that didn’t do my experience justice! The staff was so inviting and kind, putting me at ease. Dr. C really took the time to listen to what I wanted and he was very good at explaining what was realistic for the results I could expect. He spelled out all of the pros and possible cons. I decided to do an implant exchange, a breast lift, a tummy tuck, and areas of lipo.
The manager helped me with payment options that worked for us, and it went very smoothly.
Before I knew it my day had come, and my surgery nurse was beyond amazing, the anesthesiologist was so sweet. The doctor came and marked me up for surgery, and away I went! My husband said they called him at different stages of my 8 hour surgery to update the progress and how I was doing.
Recovery is different for everyone. It was rough for me in the beginning, granted it’s a big surgery and it was all new to me, but Dr. C and his crew didn’t leave me out feeling alone. Day or night I could get an answer and they really showed they cared.
Dr. C, his nurse, his manager, and other staff were always kind and there for me. I think that meant the most to me in my recovery. I’ve had friends tell me horror stories about their experiences at other practices where they were ignored, not called back for days, finding themselves in the ER.
I’m 8 weeks post-op and I feel so good about my body, my decision to do it and choose Dr. C. It was worth all the money and the pain.
