Almost 6 weeks post op

WORTH IT$15,000
I’m jut about 6 weeks post op and am hoping the doctor clears me to go back to some form of fitness on Monday at my next appointment. I had a few minor complications around week 3 and developed a small seroma that they drained twice and then it just went away. Other than that I’ve been feeling really well. I have noticed that I developed a small amount of swelling at one spot on my incision. It’s about 3 inches access and 2 inches long. There’s no pain though? I am back to work and had my two toddlers alone for the first time since surgery 2 days in a row. I wonder if maybe I over did it? I would think the swelling would be every where and not in one specific area. Anyone else experience this?

Swell hell!

Hello ladies, I had my second post-op appointment today and it went relatively well. I had about 13cc’s of fluid removed from my lower abdomen in this little tiny area just above my incision. I was shocked that the doc got so much! It didn’t look overly “puffy” to me. She advised me that I was doing too much once I told her that I’d done some housework and cooked dinner yesterday. She literally told me not to do ANYTHING. Ugh. This drainless tummy tuck is good and bad in its own way. Drains allow for excess fluid to drain as necessary; however are uncomfortable and cumbersome. The drainless tummy tuck requires no annoying drains, but more restrictions on activities for a longer period of time. I need to get this swelling under control and honestly it’s not even bad!!
As for my infected breast, looks almost 100% better, but they continued me on the antibiotics until I see them again on Aug 6 just to cover all the bases. Any tips on reducing swelling besides the diet stuff would be much appreciated! Thank you for reading!!

Skin infection on right breast! Ugh

So I went to my doctor for my first post-op appointment on Tuesday and when they removed the bandages and tape around my bandages I had a skin infection on my right breast! It was so angry looking! Although I’m happy to report that a round of antibiotics and ointment have seemed to heal the skin.

On another note, I notice that I have most of my swelling at the bottom of my tummy by my incision. It almost looks like a shelf right at my pelvic bones? Anyone else experience this?

Oh no! Happy to hear its healing! The swelling low on the tummy is normal. Gravity causes the swelling to settle at its lowest point. It will start decreasing day by day, but will vary depending on what you eat and how active you are. Hoping for an easy rest of your recovery!
Thank you for the reply and the well wishes. I'm happy to hear it's normal.
Sorry about your infection! I have a sensitivity to tape, so it was avoided at all cost...which was nice then because I got to see everything! LOL! I did have an area that got angry on my left breast where a stitch didn't dissolve and was working it's way out, but it cleared up quickly with antibiotics also. The swelling very low is normal...lowest point and you have your biggest lymph nodes in that area. I am 4 months post op and I swell the most right on my pubic bone. I told my surgeon I looked like I had a package at times...he promises me it will go away! LOL!
LOL! That's funny and exactly how I feel. I'm glad it's normal. Thank you for responding! I really appreciate it.
