If he treats his patients like family (per his website), I don't want to be his family. Before surgery, he was all smiles and glowing things of what he would do for a tummy tuck, breast reduction with fat graft and liposuction. I now have no nipples (they are white), my breast are the size of when I was in middle school but shaped rectangle instead of the "nice round and beautifully contoured" as he told me. My breasts are now necrotic because of the "free nipple graft". My tummy waves in and out and my liposuction has a deep valley. When asked why I look this way, he said "your body is asymmetrical and this is the way your body is". He has frequently bullied me by pulling out my before photo and saying "Let me remind you what you looked like before surgery. This is must better than that, you should have no reason to complain." NO ONE should use this dr. He obviously has no respect for women and dismisses them if they ask any question regarding his work. He told me "I have my pride you know!" Yes, we do know now how much pride you have and it isn't in your work or making sure that you live up to your word and reputation.

I don't want to quote Dr Zemmel out of context, so this is his complete reply to why the back of my leg was black and purple from my knee to my butt:
"I struck a blood vessel, ok, I have my pride you know!"
Evidently, this Dr doesn't think that this is anything important that he should have shared with his patient! He is all show and obviously believes that he is made of teflon.
In addition, the only expectation that I had came from him directly. He was the surgeon and nothing like what I have experienced was mentioned at all when meeting with him.

Zemmel struck my femoral artery, removed my breast tissue consistent with mastectomy and lied about it

Only after going to Dr out of state did I find out the truth. Zemmel never to this day has told me the truth about what all happened during my surgery. Surgery was supposed to be 3 hrs and went on for 6 hours and 20 min, but he stated no complications in my OR report which was revised 4 days after my surgery. So if you want a DVT, PE, lose a great deal of tissue and muscle to necrosis, have both breast tissue plus skeletal muscle removed consistent with mastectomy give your hard earned money to Zemmel. He obviously can’t get enough.
