How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Mommy Makeover- Day 5
After 5 years of vacillating between having a mommy makeover or not I bit the bullet and did it. I interviewed 4 of the best surgeons in OC and selected Dr. Grover. I am on Day 5 post op and let me tell you this procedure is the most painful of all (I have had rhinoplasty, 1 breast augmentation, 1 breast lift and augmentation), so not a noob for going under the knife but this MM (breast lift including internal bra Galaflex, new implants, tummy tuck and Lipo) is by far the most painful of all including giving birth. So if you don't have much pain tolerance, reconsider the decision. I am 85% sure I would have opted out if I had known about the extent of the procedure and pain.
If you do move forward I strongly recommend ou stay at an aftercare facility. I chose Laguna Village Retreat and stayed for 5 nights. Best decision ever because they have a nurse available 24/7 to help you with everything. Meds, walking, shower, food, taking you to the wc, cleaning you because you absolutely will not be able to do anything. The support you need requires a professional nurse and even the best BF or husband would have no clue when it comes to taking you potty...
Be prepared and make sure you have everything lined up when you come back home. Buy or rent a walker, I bought one online $60 and it is a lifesaver. Get a compression garment so you can wash and swap them because well, going potty with it is gross.
Get Arnica and start using it the day before surgery. Get ice packs because your back spasms will be worse than incision pain. If you don't have a mattress that is powered to tilt up or down invest in a motorized recliner. You will not be able to climb up or down the bed at all.
Have a stool for shower so ou can sit in and wash yourself. Speaking of stool, stool softener will be a great friend...Will continue with updates including pictures.
