Two weeks until surgery!

$5,600
It’s coming up fast! I went today to apply for my passport straight from the agency, and I go back to get it in two days. So soon! The passport, including expedited fees and everything, was $205. Things to gather if going this route:
- fee for passport
- form DS-11
- birth certificate
- government issued ID
- passport photo

That should be it, but I suppose it could vary slightly based on marriage, adoption, etc. Good luck!

Hemo + CBC check!

My Primary Care Provider (PCP) signed off on me going out of the country for my surgery! She did labs, a check-up, and made sure I was healthy. My Complete Blood Count (CBC) came back, and my levels are all good, and my hemo is 14.2! Thank goodness cause I was not about all those iron supplements that I see everyone else taking. Too many pills for me!

Hey that’s good to hear. So you didn’t take anything to get your hemo up that high?
No, just living my life. Lol I’ve heard of people taking supplements that help them though. I can’t speak on any because I haven’t taken them, but if you need help raising your hemo I would do some research.
Oh ok, That’s good! I’ve been taking iron and other vitamins like blood builders since March. I also bought some liquid iron too just in case. So hopefully that helps. When I last checked in February it was 11.9
That sounds like a good regimen. You’ll likely be high 13, low 14 if you were to check it now.
Hoping so, keeping fingers crossed. lol

Plane ticket purchased!

I’ve purchased my round trip airline tickets, and chose JetBlue. They allow a carry-on item and one personal item, and that’s all I’m taking. I don’t think it’s necessary to take all the items most of these girls are suggesting, because it seems they don’t even use it all once they’re there, according to their live videos and comments post-surgery. Plus, my recovery house is providing quite a bit as well.
