Breast Reduction and tummy tuck to reclaim myself after babies

Two weeks Post op!

...and a day (15 days out).

I'm feeling better and better! I was really active over the weekend, attending a couple day parties. Was on my feet a lot and I'm finally feeling a bit more endurance. I'm still hunched but a little less so. My back feels ok. Pretty much only taking tylenol at this point.
I had some pretty impressive bruising covering my entire lower abd and even hip flexors below my incision. A few times a day I alternated ice and heat and today the bruising and associated swelling look a lot better.
My belly button is still oozing a little bit of old, dark and bloody drainage but the skin looks pretty good and it's not infected. I texted my surgeon pics and she said it looks fine, to keep doing xeroform dressing changes every day.
My first new bra arrived today! Spanx bra-allelujia wireless! It's a 36D and fits perfectly (right now, yay!) Ots so much more comfy than the compression bras that I've been wearing, which start to roll and bunch at the band and get pretty uncomfortable when I'm wearing them 24hours per day. So I'm giving myself an hour in this beauty.
I still have 2 more weeks off work which I'm grateful for since it's pretty physical. but I can see how someone that works a desk job would be able to return after two weeks.
Also I've been able to snuggle my 18 month old and 4 year old on my lap pretty comfortably, as long as they don't accidentally jab me with those dagger elbows!

Looks amazing! Your boobs came out so perky!
Dr. Sandholm will be preforming the same surgeries on me Feb 6th! Two days!! So happy I found your story! Thank you for sharing.

I would love any last minute tips if you have any!
So exciting!!! She is AMAZING. You are in such good hands. The entire team is fantastic, your experience will be perfect!
No last minute tips, although I've really loved having a recliner and a shower stool. The walker was really helpful for my first week out but I haven't used it much since.
Good luck!! Xo
Thank you! I got a lift recliner! Did you stay overnight?
I did! I was pretty out of it until evening and even then, I don’t remember much. I was very comfortable that first night!
I’m now 11 days PO with the Same procedures from Dr. Sandholm. I look so similar to your results! I’d love to see an update, and what I have to look forward too. Feeling pretty decent but still so swollen.

1 week post op!

I'm officially 1 week out! Had my drains out today and am happy to be rid of them, although my belly is so swollen still, it's bound to get worse before it gets better.
I took my first shower on a week which was amazing. I borrowed my friend's shower seat which was awesome. Standing for more than a minute is really exhausting for my sore back muscles from arching over. So it was nice to sit and let the warm water hit my back for awhile.
Pain has been managed with just tylenol, occasional ibuprofen and one oxycodone at night. Icing my whole torso feels great and I try to do it 3-4x a day.
She used a silver impregnated dressing on my abdominal incision to decrease infection. That came off today so all I have are steri-strips, which need to stay on until they peel off on their own. But my skin around the abdominal incision is really discolored from the silver dressing. It will wear off eventually, but warning, it looks terrible!

Post-op Day 5 pics of breasts

Oops, forgot these. Taken today, and binder is still on. (Probably not worth taking off since I'll still be swollen.)
My left breast is definitely more bruised. not surprising since my surgeon said that they were nearly done with my breasts and sat me up one last time to check symmetry and everyone in the OR agreed that the left was a little more full than the right. So she opened it back up to remove more and make them match.

I'm on my 2nd night post-op and I feel great, but I just don't know what I look like down there. My PS said to keep everything on as-is until the first post-op visit. I haven't a clue about my stomach, but I keep peeking at my boobs and they look good so I'm optimistic! I really do hope my recovery follows yours. You look really good. Truly!
Thank you! Congrats on your surgery!! Day 3 was probably the worst for me and then every day I after that felt better and better!
Yikes! What was bad about Day 3? That's today for me and I see my PS for the first time. I also go home today. Lots of changes. Terrified of the removal of the pain pump!!!
I went home the day after and didnt have a pain pump. I had local anesthetic blocks during the procedure which wore off about 24 hours later. So your timeline will probably be different. I think day 3 was the worst for me bc I was home alone and more active, plus the back soreness has really kicked in.
