Breast Reduction, TT with MR and Lipo Flanks, Thighs

I’ve been considering breast reduction for a few years. During pregnancy I gained almost 40 pounds with my son.
My breasts got bigger! So I asked my GP about breast reduction. She referred me to Dr. Nguyen. A month after I got a call for my consultation to have a month later. Consultation was Feb.28. I thought if I’m having this I might as well ask about tummy tuck. My stomach stretched quite a bit and I have lots of stretch marks and loose skin. I read somewhere you could save by combining the surgeries.
First consultation was quick and easy and was approved for breast reduction through insurance and was put on the wait list. I asked about tummy tuck reduction and I was scheduled to come back a month later.
Due to COVID 19 my second consultation got pushed back a couple of times and finally had it June 5. Booked my surgery date that day for Aug.17.
It was strongly recommended by PS to go with auxiliary lipo so I don’t get a side boob after reduction as well as flanks and thigh lipo.
Had a couple of weird days thinking what am I doing!? And having second thoughts. Now I am mostly excited.
Dr. Nguyen was very nice and she went through everything with me and answered all my questions before I even asked.
I’ve added some photos of my belly. Will add photos of my breast soon.

Yayyy! That's awesome news! I felt like that too, like what am I doing but this is for ourselves. I fined 35lbs during my pregnancy 11yrs ago (she was a 9lbs baby) and lost all the eight rather quickly, well, the 30's kicked in and EVERYTHING SLOWED DOWN. I have this gut that I can't shake off and I feel now at 34 I should make a change. I booked my lipo360 and BBL for July 13 and still staying in quarantine till after that. I heard if you test positive or have had it in the past they'll reject you... not today lol! Good luck on EVERYTHING!!!!

It’s definitely an emotional decision for me but I just keep thinking of the benefits and how much better I will feel. Will follow your journey! Best of luck!

It was the same for me I was back and forth but once my doctor told me the difference option and what could possibly happen If I went with certain option I was able to decide for myself the best course of action. Originally I wanted fat transitions my breast he told me he would do it but then he told me the possible complications that come with it. He said but if you want it I will do it. I made the decision Not to dat transfer due to me possibly having side effects. And it was the best decision for me. And my results are here to prove it. Just know what you want and don’t let anyone deter you from what it is you want. Know the options both good and bad so you can way what you want and love with it. I think you getting breast reduction along with tummy tuck is awesome. It’s a one stop shop! Go girl. Cannot wait for you to be in the other side!!! Looking forward to your journey and all the excitement that comes with it.

The date is getting closer and closer!

I’m about a month away surgery. Getting super excited! I will be paying for it tomorrow. Then being sent out to get my measurements for my compression garment. My PS wants me to start wearing it a week prior. I’m really not looking forward to that. I’ve also ordered a couple of fruit of the loom bras. I tried them on and they seem comfortable enough.
I’ve been debating weather I should order the toilet seat riser. Some reviewers here stated it made their life easier but I’m just unsure. Someone else recommended a reading pillow. I might get that. I will update on that.
I thought I update my info as well as I find it helpful when I read reviews with them for reference sake.
5’1
142lbs ( really hoping to loose 5 pounds before surgery)
Measurements at the moment in inches are
Bust- 37.5
Waist-30.5
Hips- 41
Bra size 35DDD. Hope I end up a full C.

I’m 5’1 and I didn’t use a toilet seat riser. I had the lift chair which I totally would recommend. But everything else I made myself do so I could heal quickly and not feel like I was not recovering. For me bending over to squat was easy lol since I’m so doggone short. But for those who are tall that might be hard for them. Just my two cents. Hopes this helps.

I’m 5’1 too and I didn’t need help in the bathroom after c-section. Only getting in and out of bed. So that’s why I was thinking I could skip it. Thanks!

No prob.

I got a toilet seat riser but honestly could've done without it. The first few days I used a pee funnel so didn't need to sit at all (highly recommend this!!) and after a few days switched to the riser. If you feel like you have strong enough legs, yo'll prob be OK. Try testing squatting on and off the toilet to test it - maybe with a binder on if you have one. Worst case, though, you have it and don't need it and either return if unused or you're out like $20.

A lift chair on the other hand, 100% recommend.

The funnel sounds more useful to me. I think I’ll get one. Thanks!

Our size is very similar so I'm so excited to see how amazing you're going to look! I'm 5'2 and 147lbs. I also wanted to lose about 10lbs or so but my motivation is at a negative so I'm jut trying to eat better for now. Can't wait to see your results!

Yes I’ve been finding it really hard to stay on track. But not giving up just yet. Got 2 weeks to go hope to be at least 139 prior to surgery. Surgery is getting so close now!!

Yea I was hoping to be at 140 for surgery. My husband came home from working out of town which makes it harder to eat the way I would like when he is here. He's leaving again on Thursday so I should have a solid 10 days before he comes home again so we'll see lol. I swear I am getting more excited by the day!

Less than a week to go!

The nerves are starting to kick in! I’m definitely already a bit emotional going from super excited to super nervous. I also got my period yesterday so been feeling yucky but I’m glad I didn’t get it at the same time as surgery.
I started wearing my Marena compression garment as per my PS recommendation to wear it one week prior. She wanted me to get used to it. It’s actually not that bad. I’ll have to wear it a total of 7 weeks. Apparently you get used to it and you actually feel better with it on after surgery as it keeps everything in place. So we will see.
I bought a couple of wedge pillows on amazon. One for my back and the other for my legs. The thought of sleeping on a recliner wasn’t appealing to me. I’m also a side sleeper. So the whole sleeping situation worries me a bit. I don’t remember having issues sleeping after my c section I was sleeping like a baby but that might been due to being sleep deprived! Also there was no tension on the scar.
I’ll be staying overnight at the hospital I’ll be in a reclinable bed for the first night and someone checking up on me. Hubby only allowed to come and check on me quick then he has to leave due to COVID.
I managed to go down to 139lbs. I wanted to loose a bit more but oh well. I’m hoping eventually going down to 130 after surgery. It will be easier to work out without the big breast holding me down.
I took some more before photos and I will post some after surgery.

Wooooo just one more sleep! How excited are you?! Can you tell me what wedge pillows you bought? I'm with you and am a side sleeper and am worried about sleeping. I'm so excited for you and I'll be thinking of you tomorrow! Good luck! :-)

Thanks. I’m nervous but calm if that makes any sense! I got these. I haven’t slept on them yet but they feel comfortable. I feel like maybe I could’ve done without the one for my legs and just use pillows as it is a bit higher by about an inch.

I was able to start to sleep on my side on the 4th night post-op. I put a pillow between my knees and it worked great. The first few nights I had a wedge under my back and under my knees with an extra pillow under my knees. It was fine. By day 3 I was able to sleep without the wedge under my back. I'm 11 days po and still have the wedge under my knees, but I'm pretty sure I could sleep without it if I really wanted to. You will do great! Promise!

Thank you. That’s so good to hear. I want to be able to at least get some sleep.
