Had my surgery this morning. Tummy tuck with breast lift. Super nervous. I couldn't sleep two days before surgery. I would try to eat and my nerves were so bad that I felt sick each time I ate. Arrived at the hospital 6a and had wait till 6:36a to go in. My boyfriend wasn't allowed to be with me due to the COVID-19, which made everything 10x's more scary. I was marked up by 8:30 something and was told they started the procedure around 10:30a. The PAIN woke me up at 1:40p on the dot. Omgs, the pain rushed in like a tsunami. The nurse was very understanding and got me some morphine in through my I.V. , which helped with comfor but not the pain. Its about 7:15 and its time for my 2nd dose of pain meds. I can't get comfortable at all. I'm taking cat naps and the bandage that's wrapped around me hurts just as much as procedure itself. I think its to tight but the doctor knew was he was doing, so I'm not going to complain about it. For right now this is only photo I'm about to take. Its to painful to stand up and take a body photo.

Does your breasts hurt more than your belly? I'm 10 days post op tummy tuck only and I didn't have that much pain at all. A friend of mine had both done and said breasts hurt more so I was wondering...another thing, I'm a nurse too. Never trust blindly a medical professional if you think your garment is too tight it probably is....we make mistakes too. Happy healing!

My breasts really don't hurt, its more on the sore side. The soreness is the same as after child birth. I think my stomach hurts more because I had a c section with my son. And the garment was too tight, Dr. Bottger said I don't have to put that on right now..just wear the sport bra. And are you able to walk around your home comfortable? And thanks, Happy Healing to you as well!

I had 3 c sections, in fact I think the sections were worse. Did you have muscle repair? I had a hernia and muscle repair but both of them were small. I think if you had a bigger muscle repair it's worse...do you have drains? Make sure you get on some vitamins when you get home. I take collagen, vitamin a and c, multi vitamin, colace and lactulose. I didn't have a BM until day 3-4 and when I went I went twice daily for two days... Yes I walked same day and everyday since. I didn't stay overnight, didn't have a pain pump, only had 10 percs and have 6 remaining. I'm 10 days out and feel good.

3 c sections?! I can't imagine! Yes, I had my muscle repair, but my tummy tuck was drainless. Dr. Bottger did liposuction on my stomach, and around my breasts. Oh no, I forgot all about vitamins! I looked at your profile, your results look amazing!

Day 2 and the pain still bad. Today I got my bandages off and seen my body for the first time, it looks amazing! I’m loving the results even though I’m swollen. Walking is my enemy right now. When we arrived at the doctor office I had to use a wheelchair. I told Dr. Bottger about the discomfort and pain I’m having so he up there doses on oxycodone from 1 every four hours to 2 every four hours. He also told me I could take a shower tomorrow, but I can’t even walk upstairs to use the bathroom because of the pain! I been using a cup (don’t judge me) and sleeping on my recliner that I brought off Amazon just for this surgery. My boyfriend gave me a bird bath. He been helping me a lot, I’m blessed that he’s a RN.

Hi! I am glad to hear you're happy with your results and that your recovery went well! I'm having a TT with Dr. B next month. What kind of recliner did you buy? Do you recommend it? Thanks!

Aww thanks! I recommend you you rent and not buy a recliner. Don't do leather like I did, do a comfortable thick cushion recliner. Don't go cheap like I did! I was so uncomfortable. I failed to realize i spent 2 1/2 weeks taking naps and sleeping during the night.

Ok thank you! I just put a rental order in. It is cheap though! But I'll see how it feels. Was your tt drainless? And did you have muscle repair? I know Dr. B often does drainless, which sounds great to me, but I haven't found many people who've had it done. Did you have any swelling issues?

Stiff and sore

Last night I couldn’t sleep. Every time I would fall asleep, I would have a nightmare. So I finally researched the side effects of oxycodone and read that nightmares, and itchiness were one. Today is not a good day. I’m so stiff that I can’t stand up and too sore to try and walk. So you know what that means...I’m still peeing in a cup. Still no bowel movement, which is a great thing since I can’t walk up the steps. I took some pictures last night. I love what I see, even though I’m still swollen. Dr. Bottger did an amazing job!!!
