Mommy Makeover - Breast Lift No Implants, Diastasis Recti / Tummy Tuck, Lipo Flanks
boobs93458July 1, 2020
WORTH IT$19,800
My mommy makeover is scheduled for 7/2/20 with Dr. Bruno in Beverly Hills! I'm 31 with 1 child (6 yrs old) and breastfed for just over 2 years. I've had large breasts since I was quite young, and gravity and motherhood have taken their toll. I'll be getting a breast lift (no implant) and Dr said he'll take out a little to get it closed up properly and such. I'm also getting the Galaflex mesh for extra internal support.
I was initially looking into breast lift only, but once I saw tummy tuck photos on here - I had to add it on! I didn't even know that my pooch could be fixed until then. I'll be having diastasis recti repair / tummy tuck with lipo of flanks. My stretch marks are pretty much all below my belly button, so I should end up with a nice smooth tummy!
I was originally planning to have the surgery in the fall/winter, but with COVID, it seemed like ASAP would be easier for our family. Nervous and excited for Thursday... can't believe it's only ~32 hours away!!!

Tomorrow I go back to see the dr and will hopefully get my drains removed! I'm still wearing all the original dressings from when I left the surgery center, so I haven't seen any of my new body in person yet. Dr Bruno sent me a photo, though, that he had taken when it was done. Love it and can't wait to see it.

Well, it's 12 days now! Here's some highlights from the past almost 2 weeks...
- My pointer finger, thumb, that half of my palm, and up the inside of both arms were numb after surgery. After a couple days I got feeling back in the pointer and palm, but my thumbs and inner arms are still numb. It's very strange because I have full use of them (I did not the first 2 days, they were like limp noodles) but it's just an "asleep" feeling. I've noticed a little improvement on thumbs the last day or 2 so hope that means it'll resolve soon. Don't want to think about if not...
- I slept on and off the first few days. I was off pain meds (norco) and muscle relaxer day 5. I did take 1 on day 6 and 7 at night before bed because my husband thought it would help me sleep better.
- Surgery was on a Thurs and I was "back to work" (I work part-time and it's from home right now) on Tuesday. I haven't gotten back to using the desk in home office, just have a laptop in the recliner or at dining table.
- I've been sleeping in a recliner. The day before surgery, it suddenly occurred to me I could look to rent one. Best decision ever. It has the power lift so it lifts the person to an almost standing position. It was very helpful the first 5 days. At about 1 week po, I was able to get in and out myself with the chair remote. BUT as of today, I can get in and out of the chair without using the remote. I've been able to sit at the dining table since about day 6/7.
- I have not driven yet but plan to try this week. I think it should be OK.
- A pee funnel was super helpful the first few days. My poor husband, though.... he had to hold it for me and I pay have dribbled on him and time or two. He also took care of my drains. What a trooper.
- Day 9 I noticed a big blister right below the TT incision on my right side. I texted Dr Bruno and he replied promptly and just told me to use neosporin and cover it, that it would pop on its own. It did pop 2 days later and seems OK so far. Just taking care to clean and cover it.
- Drains were removed at day 7. Not sure if blister is related to drains being out at all.
- I removed the surgical tape from incisions over the course of day 10 and 11. Today I started the scar treatment with biocorneum gel. Seemed early but dr advised to do this after seeing him on day 7.
- I've been really swollen the last 4-5 days in my sides/hips/back. No lipo on my back or anything (just flanks) but my compression garment must be pushing everything back and down. It's almost hard lumps on my sides/hips. There were also a few pretty itchy days but I think I'm past that now.
- Switched to a compression vest a few days ago. The binder was irritating the incisions under my breasts. I tried getting a faja but there's no way I could get that baby on at this point. And yes, there's a crotch hole to pee, but what about #2?! If I managed to get myself in, there's no way I could get out and back in again. I'd just be stuck for life haha. Anyways, the vest is interesting though because it has straps that come up on your boobs, which are sore.... so I just removed the straps and folded it down at the top for now. Maybe I can add it back in a few days but not sure I want that pressure on chest. Also found a front-zip bra on Amazon and now I'm much more comfortable now between the vest and bra.
- I felt *really* good yesterday and thought I could manage vacuuming (Dyson stick vac, so not overly heavy) but I only did the kitchen and then was literally exhausted and had to stop. I was really surprised I could turn that fast.
- I haven't had much of an appetite. First few days were just protein shakes and protein water. I have a shake for each breakfast and still trying to eat lunch and dinner since I know I should eat, but usually don't actually feel hungry. At least not like I did pre-op. I'm sure it's just my stomach feeling tight that makes eating sound unappealing and should get back to normal soon.
- I'm standing at like 85% right now... hope I'll be fully upright by the end of the week!
Can't think of much else worth noting but happy to answer any questions. Next time I see dr is Aug 5.
Attached a few photos from 2 days po and the blister. Will work on getting some before and afters up.
