Progress photos and before and afters
WORTH IT
I meant to post these photos with my review.
These will be “before and after” as that is what I looked for when researching photos.
Things to know about me:
I’m 5’3” (and a half!)
I was 270 lbs at my heaviest (pictured)
180 lbs when I consulted (surfboard photo)
160 lbs when I had surgery
150-160 lbs post-op
Bra size prior was 36E/G - 44G
Bra size after is 32D - 34D. Finally able to buy pretty bras!
Still experiencing swelling in my stomach, but I workout often and am constantly on the go so I expected that.
Would love to lose an additional 10-20 lbs, trying to do what I can with the gym and healthy eating. I also realize that with such a big weight loss, I may need more surgery. Will update in a couple months!
Currently about 3.5 months post-op

ORIGINAL POST
The actual best! Everything you could possibly want in a surgeon.
Not only was Dr. O. the only one who checked all of the boxes for what I was hoping for in a surgeon, but he also possesses qualities that in retrospect are actually the top things I should have been looking for (quality of aftercare, safety and bedside manner). I am 3 months post-op, and could not be happier with my results and experience with this surgeon and his amazing staff.
After having two babies and a massive weight gain (and subsequent loss) of 100+ lbs., I was on quest to return to my pre-baby self with the help of an abdominoplasty and a breast reduction/lift. My biggest wishes in a plastic surgeon were:
1). integrity
2). someone who works well with curves
3). receptive to questions
After a couple of consults in my city (Austin) that just didn’t feel right for various reasons, I widened my radius and came across Dr. O.
Immediately upon meeting him, I knew he was the surgeon who would give me the best possible outcome. Dr. O understood what I was hoping for, and recommended adding upper back liposuction and j plasma to get the right effect. We opted to add the lipo, and I'm so glad we did.
As soon as the decision to go with Dr. O. as my surgeon was made, things just started falling into place. My coordinator, Leslie, was so kind and helpful and truly made scheduling all of my appointments around my family's crazy schedule a breeze, while fielding my dozens of questions. I was so focused on finding the right surgeon that I didn’t think about logistics until afterward, and Leslie made living 3-4 hours away very easy for me with virtual appointments whenever possible.
Recovery was not as rough as I anticipated, and I was able to reach Dr. O and Leslie very easily.
My results are even better than I had hoped for, as Dr. O. performs his procedures in a way that not only improves the target area, but the overall picture. Example: I have been asked if I had work done on my arms, implants and a BBL. I'll post pictures to illustrate what I mean.
In addition to all of that, my belly button is super cute and my scars are well thought out. My sister, who works in the medical field (ER nurse) was in charge of my aftercare while I stayed in Houston, and she was super impressed with the precision of the incisions. I have also been really happy with how, especially under the breasts, they are basically hidden. At about 10 weeks post-op, I realized that the way Dr. O placed my abdominal scar actually helps conceal my hip dips (lower on the list of things I’d have fixed, but now that my apron of excess skin is gone I notice them more than I used to) as I used to wear bottoms in a way that hugged my hips a bit more. The scar lead to a different placement that accentuates my curves better.
And honestly that‘s just par for the course with Dr. O. He thinks of details that we wouldn't even consider ourselves, for our own bodies. He truly does the most, and maintains such a positive and humble attitude. I feel incredibly lucky to have had him as my surgeon.
