Dr Sarici has the right credentials and a focussed vision for the best patient results. If I compare my experience in Istanbul to the two previous surgeries I had in Nice, France and Budapest, Hungary… Dr Sarici was indeed best. There were more pre-operative tests and post-operative care. The standard of Toorak hospital facilities, staffing and service was world class and women never stopped cleaning that place during my stay. Cash was requested to fulfil the payment to protect me because bank charges range from 5-28% for international transactions and credit cards. The package price included all accommodation + breakfast, 3 night hospital stay, garments, medication and airport transfers. The hotel is walking distance to the hospital and full of other patients and their loved ones so the staff are discrete. Above all, Dr Sarici is a true body contouring expert and he cares about the outcome of his work and how you are healing. If I could hazard a guess I predict the reputation of Dr Sarici will grow now that he has his own practice, and that he will be charging more for his services in the future.
I am very happy with the results and it has only been one week and I and still healing. My new shape is just what I wanted and stitches have been done so well that scaring will be as minimal as it can be. Pictures coming soon.
Is Istanbul safe?
There is no reason why one should be scared to walk the 200m from the hotel to the hospital or pharmacy, coffee shop or bank. Women on their own are safe enough to walk around in shorts and a t-shirt. However, I was reminded by the pharmacy owner not to give people money to provoke the homeless, so it is best practice to ignore any requests if they happen (but this is no different to what I experienced to other world cities). At the end of the day, if we are travelling Internationally, we are the guests. We often look different and stand out and I recommend to leave the diamonds at home, dress simple, wear a cap and sunglasses and keep your bag close or wear a money bag the same as anywhere.
