Amazing Experience Overall
WORTH IT
I had an amazing experience with Dr. McMillan and her team. I had an extended tummy tuck with muscle repair, flank lipo, breast lift and implant exchange. Initially, Dr. McMillan thought I would do well with just a standard tummy tuck, but I knew I wouldn't be satisfied without the extended based on my own research and seeing other people's results with similar body types. After a thorough review, she agreed she could do the extended and I couldn't be more thrilled with my results.
I LOVED the fact that Dr. McMillan does a drainless tummy tuck. I've had very little swelling or issues other than an occasional split stitch which is normal. My breasts look so much better now with even and centered nipple placement, and my areolas are smaller which is what I wanted. My implants were exchanged from 350 cc saline rounds (nearly 22 years old) to 400 cc silicone rounds and I think they fit my body perfectly well and feel so much more natural.
The only complaint I had with the experience was that Dr. McMillan does not do narcotics for pain management and I had reactions to both the Gabapentin and Celebrex prescribed. Five to ten pills of low dose oxycodone to take just at night would've been so helpful for the first week or so. However, once over that initial hump - the pain and discomfort has been minimal and manageable. I'm now 10 weeks post op with no ongoing concerns. I went back to work at 2.5 weeks postop. I'm working out 4 days a week and slowly building back to where I was before surgery.
Overall, I would rate the whole experience 10/10.
