After meeting with 4 different surgeons, what Dr. Hubbard said made the most sense. I felt like my surgery was completely catered towards my body. My breasts were not the same size and he recommended reducing one and then putting in the same size implant for a better result. He also encouraged me to skip sewing up my stomach muscles because that was the most painful part of recovery and he thought I would get the same flT stomach results without it. He knew I had 2 little kids at home and this would be the best option for me. He was exactly right. I now have a flat stomach with a much easier recovery. I had a mother doctor encourage me to lipo my flanks. Dr. Hubbard said that because of my poor skin elasticity this would be a bad idea and I would end up with wrinkly skin. I completely agree. I am so glad he took the time to listen to my lifestyle and my body. I am so happy with my results thus far.

2 weeks out

Breasts are healing nicely, one side is more swollen and sitting a little higher. Stomach is still very hard and swollen above the incision. The problem I'm having is sleeping at night. I have never been a back sleeper and after about 3 ours of sleep my back is killing me. I usually move to the couch and try to sleep reclined or sitting up. So far nothing seems to help and I am getting very little rest.

I week post op

Everything is looking good so far. My breasts are a little itchy but that's a small price to pay. My stomach is still very swollen and the binder is driving me crazy. I will try and update weekly.

You look fantastic! And you’re healing so beautifully. Re itchiness you may a want to ask your PS for some suggestions. My own PS gave me clearance to lightly coated my breasts with Aquaphor to protect my breast skin from all the swelling and bruising. Not to mention swelling causes dryness which can result in itchiness and rash. I also found Zyrtec (antihistamine) very helpful in preventing itchiness. Of course be sure to get clearance from your own PS for any post up products you use. Happy healing!
