I had been meaning to start my review before my procedure but never got around to it. I had it full mommy makeover two days ago and so far am thrilled with Dr Richards work. I am 34 and a mom of four boys. All were born via c-section and were all good size babies - my last one being 9 lbs. I gained a lot of weight with each pregnancy but have always been able to eventually lose the weight. However the extra skin, muscle separation, lower belly pooch, and deflated boobs have bothered me and could not be corrected with diet and exercise. Now that I am done having babies - my youngest just turned 3 - I am ready to do this!! I did a great deal of research for a couple of years and knew based on reviews and photos that Dr Richards is who I wanted. I did not meet with any other surgeons. I had an initial consultation in November and booked my surgery for January. I am technically an out of town patient although I am from Las Vegas and only recently moved out of state. I decided to still use Dr Richards and stay with my parents in Las Vegas for my procedure. I had a second consultation/pre op appointment while I was in town over the holidays. My time with doctor Richards during consultations did seem slightly rushed. He does surgeries on site so I know both times he was between surgeries. Still he answered all of my questions and his patient coordinator, Misty, was wonderful and listened to all of my concerns. I went in knowing I wanted a tummy tuck for sure and also wanted to see about getting lipo on my flanks. Unrelated to pregnancy, that has always been my problem area due to genetics - mom & sister have the same issue. It's always the first place I gain weight and the last place I lose. He said he could do lipo there. I asked about breast implants but I knew I was hesitant on doing it. I have never wanted big boobs. I've always been a 36A cup and never minded being petite. After breastfeeding 4 babies for 1 year+ each, I really wanted some perkiness and volume back. He recommended a lift to get my nipples back to this same level as well as an implant for volume. My bwd is 12.5 and he said the implant would ideally be less than that. He strongly suggested moderate profile, but I was pretty adamant that I wanted minimal projection. We settled on Natrelle Inspira 250cc low plus profile on the left and 265cc low plus on the right. Here are my before photos taken the day I flew to Vegas (2 days before procedure).

What type of sedation was used and did Dr. Richards do breast and tummy in one surgery?
January 23, 2019
Everything was done in one surgery. In my pre-op I was told that I would be awake but sedated for the lipo of flanks, and then they would put me under general anesthesia for the tummy tuck, breast lift + implants. I assume that is what they did but I don't remember the lipo AT ALL. They did tell me that most people don't remember procedures done under conscious sedation.

Day of surgery!
34petitemomof4January 19, 2019
I went in Tuesday morning and was feeling a little nervous. Once Dr Richards came in and made all the markings on me I was just EXCITED!! Even my mom was super impressed with how meticulous he was and his desire to get the results as perfect and symmetrical as possible. Although we had previously decided on 250cc low+ on left and 265cc low+ on the right, he told me even after the lift (which would be more significant on the left), he really felt I would still need more projection on the right to make them even. He recommended trying 275cc or 295cc moderate profile on the left, which would give me an extra 0.7cm projection compared to the 265 low+. He could try a temporary sizer during surgery with both 275 and 295 and would go with whichever looked like the best match. I was comfortable with his expertise and was confident that he understood that while I still wanted to remain petite, symmetry was important to me. The tummy tuck incision marking was so surprisingly low, below my already very low c section scar, and he marked all the areas to lipo my flanks - so thrilled!! I was told I would be awake but sedated for the lipo but honestly I don't remember anything after sitting down on the OR table. Next thing I knew I was waking up in recovery. The staff was amazing beginning to end. I officially did end up with Natrelle Inspira SRLP 250 on the left and SRM 295 on the right. They also took 800cc from EACH SIDE of my flanks!!!! They made me very comfortable before going home. My first post op follow up was scheduled for 2 days later on Thursday.

BTW - does you walker has wheels on the front?
January 21, 2019
Yes wheels on the front and tennis balls on the back. As I said I got it at a yard sale and it came that way. The height is adjustable.

First Post Op Visit and first look at my new bod!!
34petitemomof4January 20, 2019
The first couple days of recovery were hard. I had a lot of oozing mess from the lipo. That lasted about 24 hours. I used a shower liner over my lift recliner (highly recommend borrowing or renting a lift chair!!) and my mom had to change the sheet over the liner almost every time I got up to use the bathroom. She also had to mop the floor from all the drainage. I was being quite conservative with the pain meds and muscle relaxers in the first couple of days and that was a mistake. I was in a lot of pain and once I started taking the meds on the regular schedule I was much more comfortable. At my appointment 2 days post op they removed all the dressings and I got my first look. I was actually feeling very light headed so they didn't have me stand up to get a good look so my mom snapped a pic of me sitting. I'm already so happy with what I see so far. My scar is incredibly low and straight and my tummy is so flat!! Even with a good amount of swelling. I can't believe how even my nipples and boobs look too. I also had my friend snap pic of the bruising from the lipo because I was curious. I was cleared to shower that day but I waited one extra day to shower. I will try to take better update pics today and will post soon.

You look great! Was the walker helpful?
January 21, 2019
Thank you! Yes I highly recommend the walker. I am still using it for balance and mostly to relieve the pressure on my back from hunching over. I actually got mine at a yard sale for $8!

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Is yours a folding walker? You look AMAZING. Are you still "oozing" a lot or has that dissipated?

Sorry my reply posted above and I don't know how to delete it so posting here again:
Yes it does fold easily for storing. The brand is Drive. The oozing from the lipo only lasted about 24 hours so it wasn't so bad. Even my drains are catching so little now I bet they take them out at my appointment Thursday.
