Wanted this surgery for over a decade. In the best shape of my life, but can’t get over my shrinking boobs, sagging belly skin and broken abdominal muscles.
Had surgery 2 weeks ago and after doing TONS of research, bring in great physical and mental shape, i thought i was prepared for how challenging it would be - boy was I wrong!!! Honestly, the recovery has been horrible.
Muscle repair was INSANELY painful!! Like being stabbed all the time - but my back felt like i had been hit with a baseball bat 50 Times. Horrific. Was on high doses of morphine and it didn’t even touch the pain. I cried nearly all day for a week. Constipation was insane as well (despite a liquid diet for 3 days before surgery and stool softeners) my intestines swelled up and i couldn’t have a bowl movement for 10 days.
I felt no pain from breast augmentation bc the tummy tuck has been so terrible. Would NEVER recommend anyone doing this unless they REALLY REALLY want it. For the past 2 weeks i have really regretted putting myself and my family through this - but the past 2 days have been slightly better. Esp after I got those damn tubes taken out - those are the worst. Had them for 10 days.
I trusted my surgeon with my implant size after much deliberation and while I wanted small and tasteful, the slightly larger size he chose really fits well and i think once they settle and fluff I’ll be really happy with them, even though they are larger than i was originally wanting. I think I’m that one person who actually wishes they were smaller post op (as opposed to most ppl who wish they went bigger). Hoping I’m happy about them in the end.

Really wish I had just gotten my breasts done and found a way to be happy with my messed up stomach. My scar feels huge and really ugly. I feel chopped in half.
2 weeks after surgery, I’m standing at about 80-90% straight op, and my skin feels really tight and uncomfortable. Still have to really take it easy each day and Physically I have no stamina and the swelling is out of control. Can’t wear any normal clothes. Hoping this gets better bc I’ve cried for hours every day wishing I had my old body back.

Your progress is awesome! I had my surgery Nov 9th and am about 1mo po. I also have a small vertical scar and had a similar starting point. I'm so ready to see what the results look like in another few months!

oh wow! so good to know other ppl have verticals! i don't see many reviews with them. i'm about to post some pics of my scar currently - its looking really flat and smooth, even though it's still red. how about yours??

Would love an update on your progress and state of mind! I'm concerned about size as well. Don't want melons. I know they are supposed to drop and probably look larger because of swelling. You appear to be healing nicely and wondering if now that you are through the worst of it, you are happy. Also, what size/profile did you choose?
