4 mo post op breast augmentation

My breasts have turned out incredible - so soft and really feel totally like my own. I couldn’t be happier! I chose 425cc mod profile and now i can see how doc Bottger suggested 475-500 bc my body could have handled a lot more, esp from the side profile. BUT I’m totally happy with my choice and wouldn’t go any bigger if i had it to over. They look hot naked and fill out my clothes so incredibly well. Wish I had done it years ago!!

I’m debating size now. In an earlier post, I thought you went with 425. Just curious about which one you chose as we have similar tats.

Stats!
March 3, 2018
OMG you are totally right! I had 425cc put in (375 was the sizer I loved - not sure how to change the review above?? it won’t let me edit :) I’m super happy with my size and if your stats are similar and you want to look natural, 425 is perfect. even 450 would be ok, IMO. best of luck!!
March 3, 2018
Ok, thanks so much! I hope your stomach issue is improving. I’m having the same thing done.

I was considering 375. 400 was the highest recommended size for my frame, but I thought it would be too large. I’ll take another look at it now. thx!

my BWD was about 12 cm and I ended up choosing 365 full profile round. They seem quite large, but I’m only about 6 Weeks P.O. so still have dropping and swelling to go down.

it’s amazing to me how sizes look so different on so many ppl! CAmom345 I think yours look a lot bigger than mine, and your size is a good deal smaller than the one i chose. maybe it’s the existing breast tissue that makes a difference?? (I didn’t have much at all). you look fantastic!! how’s your muscle repair feeling??
User Avatar
March 4, 2018
Thank you. Muscle repair is ok, still swollen. Feeling a little achy near the top. Next time I’ll post a side view. I’ve been wearing the binder less. I feel that me right breast is so huge it makes them both look bigger, but right now it’s swollen scar tissue. Every day is slightly better. Did you transition into a lighter compression garment or just ween off the binder?
March 6, 2018
I think I wore a compression garnet for about 10 weeks? but only bc it felt so much better when i wore it - but soooo annoying. kept looking for something smaller to transition out but ended i just going partial days without until I felt strong enough to not wear nothing. that achey feeling at the top is the worst!! did you go with two different sized implants? one of my nipples was higher than the other for a long time and has just recently evened out (I’m at 4 months this week)

I have same sized implants in both. I definitely did not want them both to look like the larger right one. Hope I don’t need a revision, but will absolutely do it in a year if it’s still so crazy.

You look great. I was also recommended 485/500 moderate profile but I think I will go with 450. How is your stomach? I am having the same procedure done on the 20th. Just wondering if you had any updates on your tummy tuck. Hope you are finally getting some stretch back?

I’m 6 weeks out today and feeling much better! I think I’ll start doing light arm exercises, like 5 lbs and try a couple squats. I need to be careful I don’t use my abs yet though. I’m testing today out sans binder!

hey!! tummy tuck issues are till here and nothing has changed, very unfortunately. my top stomach muscles are still stretched out slightly. in the morning it’s hardly noticeable, but after eating a meal, it pops out. I’m meeting with a physical therapist who specializes in diastasis recti and surgery recovery next week and I’m hoping she will give me specific exercises to do (and NOT to do). still feels so weak...can barely pick up my 3 yo daughter when necessary and I can feel the muscles straining when I do anything strenuous at all. so disappointing. I was in incredible shape before hand - I though for sure by now I would be feeling amazing. hopeful it will get better after meeting with the PT

Loosened upper ab muscles???

Mommymakover2017
I started working out a few weeks ago (10 weeks post op and cleared by surgeon to start working out) and my upper abs started swelling immediately. I pushed through, but after 2 weeks the swelling didn't go down, so I stopped working out. Now I have a bulge that won't go away!!! Saw PS yesterday, and he said my upper muscle wall could have stretched out and might correct with muscle strength, but could need another surgery with more muscle plication??? I was really upset and there is NO WAY i will ever have this surgery again. PS said this is a side effect (of which I wasn't aware) that because the muscles are weak after surgery they can loosen up??) Anyone else heard of this?
SO, i am googling all kinds of core strengthening exercises and determined to get this bulge to go down. I'm pretty upset to once again have abs that aren't flat (which was the whole goal of this nightmare surgery). UHG.

yes unfortunately I have heard of this. there have been other women on here too where the muscles have seperated. I believe one woman fell and I think another did too much too soon. Hoping it resolves for you without the need for any more surgery. xoxo

google the tupler technique and diastisis recti exercises. those are designed to bring the abs together ;)
February 18, 2018
Uhg my surgeon told me over and over it wasn’t possible for the muscles to separate (bc I asked him several times) - I’m so frustrated!! as soon as I left his office I was googling ways to start to get those upper muscles back together and have noticed a small difference, but honestly it’s really discouraging. he immediately said “I’ll just go back in and restitch the muscles” like that’s no big deal to go through again. going to work like crazy to get it back together myself. thanks for your comment!!

ugh that does sound frustrating! I think if you give those abs a break, do some light core exercises, and maybe even compress the area it might heal. maybe it’s a little seperated but it’s swollen too?

Oh no! What exercises were you doing? I thought 10 weeks would be more than enough time. What has your PS said?

What has your PS said about fixing it?

I would not do ab exercises right away as that may make the problem worse. I would wait a while and see if it could be swelling. I know it’s a lot to go through as I’m healing myself, however I would consider taking him up on his offer because he is doing the right thing. Since he ok’d you for workouts and recognizes that it caused this, it’s right that he should fix it. Also, even though I did muscle repair and a mini tummy tuck, I don’t think I had as hard a time. Maybe different medication or different diet etc would make it more doable the next time around. Maybe you ask if you can wait 9 months to feel better about it.

Regardless, I appreciate you posting this and will be very light when beginning exercise again(arms and legs only). I understand your position and would not prefer to go through this again.

Loving new breast shape and size

Mommymakover2017
Loving how my breasts look in swimsuits and bras - never had cleavage before, and even though mine is very subdued and natural with clothes on (went with 425cc, even though most women with my height/size usually go a lot bigger), I’m loving a bit of shape and fullness when I want it. Wish i would have done my breasts a long time ago!!
