Since going back to work at 3wks post op I’ve been too busy to add any updates. Overall I’ve happy with the results of my TT and BL/BA. The scars on my breast are helms nicely. I’ve been using bio oil twice a day and mederma one a day. I am disappointed with the lip results. There doesn’t seem to be any difference in my waist and my hips. My hips actually look more predominant almost square. I hate the way they look!! My measurement are except the same as prior to surgery. Perhaps there’s still some swelling but I don’t know...
I’ve recently had an issue develop with my TT incision. An area has become to open due to a dissolving stitch. It started out small and has progressively gotten worse. I emailed my PS this past Sunday with my concerns and some pics. He said to apply polysporin twice a day and bandage it. According to him it is only the top layer of skin and it will heal. If necessary a scar revision can be done in the future. Well, since Sunday it has got bigger. My PS is on holidays until April 16th so I really don’t want to keep emailing him. He was kind enough to immediately email me on Sunday while he was away. Regardless I am super concerned with the way this I progressing... Is this something that generally gets worse before it gets better???

its SOOOOO good to hear from you....your boobs look amazing!!! don't worry about the hole in your TT....they do get worse before they get better....i had a stitch that festered in my hip...she got it out but the hip wouldn't close...she looked at it again yesterday and found another stitch in there....already today it looks a lot better....they just take time....it doesn't look to me like you have to worry about those spots connecting but if you are concerned take a butterfly bandaid and put it on that to help take pressure off that junction....my hip got a lot deeper than what yours appears to be and i used neosporin and have kept it covered....as for the Lipo....i understand that it may take up to 6 months to see those results.....so try not to worry. you look fabulous and its so good to see that you are well

The last 3wks I’ve totally dropped off the RS grid. I haven’t even been keeping up to date on everyone’s reviews. I’m going through everyone to see how things are going. Was just reading your issues/concerns with lipo. You would think of all the procedures that one you’d see the results right away. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it improves. I’m very happy with how the boobs turned out. Now would I prefer them slightly bigger and higher yeah maybe... My husband on the other had loves the size and the slight sag. He says he prefers a set boobs with some sag. I think it comes from his teen years watching his father’s 70’s & 80’s [RS bleep]. When the girls had real [RS bleep]. Lol

Hahahaha...that's so funny....my boobs look great in a bra...lol...hopefully soon I'll get some fullness in the lower pole but for now I'm gonna enjoy the upper fullness....so afraid once they drop some they won't know when to stop...lol. I've seen so many progressions of larger implants (like mine) and after about a year there is significant sag....ughhh...can't think about it...lol

Nice to see your update! I think you still have a lot of swelling going on. I’m having a hard time being patient with the swelling/lipo results.
Your opening incision has a fair amount of slough (nonviable necrotic tissue.) that has to come off for it to heal. Of course you should ask your doctor, but I would say keeping it moist (antibiotic ointment, wound gel, moist gauze) will help it heal faster. I have had a much harder time keeping up on rd since going back to work as well, but I’m so grateful to my “buddies” who were recovering at the same time.

Wishing you you healing thoughts.

I know what you mean regarding not having much time to post now that life is somewhat back to normal! As for your photos of your incision with the superficial openings... my PS said this is not uncommon. He said if it happens, keep it clean, keep it moist, apply bacitracin ointment to it, and place the medical tape over the area. He said when a part of the incision opens, it’s not yet able to hold the skin tension without the help of some medical tape. Just FYI.

Your tummy tuck looks great. I have been considering one for years and I think I have finally have the courage to go through with it. But I am more worried about infection than the pain. Has your small opening started to heal? Are the stitches in the deeper layers disolvable? Do you feel like too much skin was removed causing the wound to open due to too much pressure? Being the end of May I am sure your small opening has closed by now. Enjoy your beautiful trim waist line.

Thanks! I too was super paranoid about getting an infection. The area on my TT incision that started to separate was never infected. It was still a major concern to me though. It never got worse (thank god) but never improved either. My PS ended up stitching it closed with local freezing. I don’t think too skin being removed caused the incision to spilt. It was probably due to stitches not dissolving.

so good to see you on here....are you happier with your lips results at this point?
May 29, 2019
No I’m not! They haven’t changed at all. I think my PS finally realized that they aren’t improving. When I had my TT incision stitched close he mentioned some options to correct them. 1. Under local he can basically remove some more of the skin to smooth it out. My TT scar will be extended as a result. 2. Have more lipo We didn’t talk extensively about the two options at the time. I will be seeing him this weekend have few questions. Mainly which procedure will be the most effective in the long run. Also, why is the recovering time. I don’t want to have to take too much more time off work. I would consider having it done when I have vacation time but we have trips already schedule for all my holidays.

don't wait to have it done.....get it scheduled asap so its covered under revision....your job will be fine for a minute without you and the recovery will not be anywhere near as bad as it was from the whole MM...i have terrible dog ears and my surgeon is wanting to wait a year....they freak my husband out so i'm gonna see if he will cut them off at my 6 month appt...i know he will have to extend my TT incision as well...but its like i have nipples on my hips...big ones...lol

Paranoid...

I don’t know if I’m over reacting or not. My healing was going very well then a couple of days ago an area on my right breast start to not look so good. I’ve been putting polysporin on it but I’m becoming very concerned. I don’t want it to developed into something worse. Also a very small spot has started on my right nipple. I’m not as worried about this but I’ll be watching it very closely. I’m seeing my PS on Monday so I’ll get his opinion. Until then I’m a basket case!

April 10, 2019
Sort for the SUPER delayed reply!! I went back to work at 3wks post op and have been off the RS grid. Lol Appointment went fine but now at 6wks I’m having an issue with an area on my TT incision. Why can’t the healing process just go smoothly?? I’m sure you’ve asked yourself this many times.

Ugh...damn you auto correct!! SORRY for the last reply... lol

my dr gave me the silicone tape for breast lift and tummy tuck areas. I haven't out them on yet since I still have some glue remaining on the stitches. The stubborn glue to had to remove myself so my husband is helping me. I used sillcone tape before on scars and it works well. My surgery was Feb. 12 and I still have soreness under the breast area and on the tummy tuck stitches. I changed to hipsters underwear to keep from causing redness on my waist line. This helps too. Are you having any issues with underwear? Just curious as I thought the swelling would be gone after 4 weeks.

What kind of scar treatment did you decide to use? I am still unsure and will need to start scar treatment in a week or two.

I’ve just been doing the bio oil and mederma cream. I have another cream on order (Skin Medica) and am waiting until all my scabs have fallen off to do the silicone strips.
