Hey everyone. So, I never thought that I would ever consider plastic surgery, but here I am, about to take the plunge! It all started about 6 years ago, when I was pregnant with my youngest. My knee started acting up & causing me a lot of pain, and after my son was born, we discovered that my knee was totally trashed and that I would need a replacement a few years down the road. I was 36 at the time, and weighed about 230lbs. Upon the advice of my orthopedist, I had gastric sleeve surgery done in September 2016, as I couldn’t lose weight by diet alone, and exercise was just too painful. Hell, walking was a chore! On surgery day, I was 224lbs, and very quickly I lost 75lbs, and have been stable at 148-150 for nearly a year. Of course, I’ve got loose skin and my breasts are just sad. I call them “avocados”, because that’s what the skin resembles when I’m wearing a bra! I was a 38G when I was heavy, and am now a 32DDD, but it’s mostly skin. I’ve got a tummy tuck & breast lift scheduled for August 6th. I originally didn’t want implants, but now I’m teetering; I’ll discuss it with my surgeon at my pre-op appointment. I would like to stay my current size; I’ve always been busty. When I was in 7th grade, I was 5” tall, 117lbs, 20” waist, and wore a 36D (I only remember this stuff because I used to make a lot of my own clothes and I still have the patterns with my measurements marked!).
My hubby says I look fine, but I’m not doing this for him. I work out regularly and have gained a lot of muscle, but years of being overweight & having 2 kids did me in. Luckily, I don’t have any hernias, and when I flex my abs, I can see a hint of a 2-pack! Haha. So that’s my story, for now. Thanks for reading!

Tomorrow’s the big day!!

Surgery is tomorrow and I’m super nervous! I’m in a lot of pain now due to bad knees (I need a partial knee replacement on the right one) and I haven’t been able to take my anti-inflammatory medication or any ibuprofen or Advil all week. Have to stay off of it for a week post surgery as well. I’m hoping the tummy tuck will be similarly painful as my C-section, which wasn’t all that bad, but I may not have full recollection due to sleep deprivation caused by a newborn!! Just gotta tell myself that it’s worth it in the end, and that I’m making the right decision for myself! I’ll try to remember to post some pics afterward.

Implant sizing

I tried implants, to see if I would change my mind. Answer is no; I feel weird about having something foreign in my body, and there’s a lot of maintenance with them! The pics are 325cc, the smallest ones my doc had. I’d be bigger than I am now, and that’s not ideal for me!
