I’ve been wanting this makeover for myself for 13 years. I cherish my 3 gorgeous girls and husband. Time and money has finally lined up and I’m doing something for myself at last. Super excited.
Paid in full yesterday. Now I’m getting info ready at home and work. I can’t wait until my surgery date which is 2 weeks from now! And at the same time it’s like eeek! There’s so much to prep.
I’m also going between 275 and 300ccs. I know it’s just 25cc but I already came up from my original 250cc. I’m small and in the times I’ve gained weight and worn a padded bra, that I look like a top heavy snowman. So I want to have a natural, proportional, but more conservative look.

Are you having a Tummy tuck as well? If so did they say that you will need a vertical incision to close the old belly button due to lack of skin? I have a similar build as you and that’s what they are telling me?

Hi! Yes a small vertical incision indeed. When is your surgery date?

Hi! My surgery isn’t till September, I have three boys and they will be home with me all day during the summer so I’m waiting till they are back in school so at least during recovery I will get some rest while they are at school. Lol! I had 3 consultations 2 said I would def need a vertical to close and 1 said I would not because he does Drainless with quilted sutures. I did chose one of the ones that said I will need a vertical as I’m afraid the other surgeon will pull to tight and I will get wound complications. You look great!! And I’m excited to see your journey. It’s hard to find similar builds getting a tummy tuck. Best wishes to you!!! I know it will look great!

Are you having muscle repair as well? Sorry I’m asking so much I’m just very nervous and excited I am done having children and I’ve been saving for this and wishing for it for so long.
June 20, 2018
Hi yes I’ll be having muscle repair. If I poke at my “abs” I can really feel the separation especially around the bellybutton. I can fit two fingers in the gap. I can’t wait. I’ve also been wanting it for a loooong time! 13 years to be exact!

Wish boobs- small, perky, and perfect

I’m a dance and bootcamp instructor, an occasional Crossfitter (I used to go a lot and have scales because I’m so busy), and an active mom. I looking for fullness but nothing big. 300cc sizers were on the border of making me look matronly. I want to push the edge of going as big as possible but without looking risque. Lol :)

I can’t wait to see! How are you feeling?

@jeremiah123 I’m doing well! I got to see the tummy tuck scar for the first time and no vertical incision! My PS was able to pull down enough skin to make just a horizontal scar; even though he was certain he wouldn’t be able to. What a great surprise! Hopefully you’ll have the same luck!

UPDATED FROM Ayo_itsme

PO 4days- Loving the results already!

It’s post op day 4. And everything is going really well. The first day out of surgery was definitely the worst. Nausea was so bad. I was super numb so it was easy to move around but the nausea was so overwhelming when I moved that I didn’t even want to use the bathroom. I gagged once and felt all the sutures tighten within me. It was like getting stabbed in 20 spots all at once. But other than that it’s seriously not that bad!
Day 2 was spent in bed bracing to feel awful since my PS said it was to be the hardest day of all, but I ended up taking 1/2 a Percocet and XS tylenol throughout the day and I was fine. I was able to get in and out of bed mostly by myself. My hubby had to help me with the last part of getting my legs up... you don’t realize how much you use your core muscles until you can’t.
Day 3 was a bit easier. Pain was about the same but I regained more range of motion. Moving around completely independently. I discovered crawling into bed was easier than the sitting then lying down technique. I also have a loft bed on top of my bed so I’m using a lot of assistance by holding onto the wooden planks above me. I feel like a monkey. So glad I have arm strength!
I’ve had 3 c-sections and those were all worse than this mommy makeover recovery. Not saying it’s a walk in the park but its doable. I was prepared for the worst but it’s been fairly easy. I didn’t get a recliner, just a big wedge pillow from Walmart.com and a contoured under-the-knee pillow from my sister and I was good to go.
I’m also taking Metamucil once a day and I’ve been regular. I was scared to have a BM because I didn’t want to push but with the help of the fiber it just slipped out. Lol. Sorry tmi? Hahhaa. Oh yah laughing and coughing (even just to clear your throat is an ordeal). Avoid it if you can. Happy healing everyone!

I forgot to ask did you need muscle repair? That is my number one problem and I hear that’s the most painful part of the TT

Wow awesome! I had my tt and BA maybe 4 days after you, so I'm taking comfort in your updates !your experience sounds much like mine !
We had an unexpected guest the other night who doesn't know about my surgery. We were all tslking and laughing .... I had to leave the room and lie down on my bed lol. I thought my tummy might burst open !
I have been surprised overall that my pain has been minimal and I have good range of motion.
Your incision and breasts look fabulous! It's so exciting isn't it !!?
July 5, 2018
@jeremiah123 yes he did muscle repair. I’m pretty fit and have even competed in a bikini competition with girls 14 years younger than me, and I still had a 1-2 finger width separation. So all the workouts and sit ups in the world couldn’t help me in that department. And yes the muscle repair sutures are super duper tight. But it’s doable. You’ll be fine! And the results will be worth it! :)

@jem80 congrats on your BA and TT! I love to laugh... but just not right now. Lol. My daughter and mom got into a funny argument during lunch today and without warning I just stood up and left. My stitches hurt at the first giggle and I had to plug my ears on the way out of the dining room, lest I hear anymore of their silly discussion. I totally get you!
