Got my before and afters. Like I had mentioned before I wasn’t prepared for the after as I thought I had another appointment set up and wore Wonder Woman undies. LOL . Had I known I would have worn the same undies . I did put on the same pair to show the difference too. I like old school undies so they have more coverage and don’t show off my work as much but it’s what I’ll wear day to day . My 36C bra is now too small and not as flattering as it could be but it went with the set . I did lose 30 plus pounds after my befores were taken also.

You look absolutely amazing! I have a TT scheduled for next month as a 40th bday present to myself. I’m also considering an augmentation. Any advice for a rookie? Congrats again on your FAB results!

I’m feeling almost 100%. I have my stamina back but I am aware and still a little guarded over my stomach. I returned to work for my full 12 hr shifts and did well. Did not get tired but I was swollen each night which resolved when I woke the next morning. On Sunday I did trip over some cords and didn’t fall but did twist . I felt it and I did get swollen but no damage was done . I just took some Ibuprofen and soaked in Epsom salt bath when I got home and all was good. It’s more like I used a muscle that hadn’t been used in 7 weeks more than an injury.. This is why time off to recover is so important. Could have been an issue on week 2 or 4. I’ve been hiking every day and last night went to the Jack o lantern display at the zoo. Was a beautiful long walk and my body was loving it . I’ve only been hiking and haven’t done any other exercise so I’m about to slowly get into that. I’ve been able to lie flat and stretch my core and it feels great to do it. I have not done any planks or sit ups and won’t for a while now. I’ll try to do those pelvic bridge thrust exercises and see glue that goes. I want to join this new kickboxing place but I don’t think I’m ready for that intensity yet.
I’ve been eating clean but still haven’t let go of dairy. I’ll plan a round of Whole 30 some time to eliminate my dairy ( that’s my only culprit I eat) to thin my lymph fluid. I’m down to one massage a month mostly for my back Lipo.
I’m still wearing my compression garments and sometimes I even put on my binder ( for the garments that are now too loose) I’m still sleeping in the recliner but that’s jut because I’ve found it to be super comfy and it’s a bad habit now and my boyfriend is wanting me back in the bed ( I’ve always slept better alone)
I’ve signed up for Evereve’s Trendsend subscription. It’s a lot like the popular ones but it’s a local shop for me and no shopping fees if you send everything back. I was sent size 30 waist in Santuary and 7 for all mankind . They fit beautifully but a tad loose around the waist. I’ve never had that problem before! 29 would be too small I’m afraid but I did write a note to send that size in those brands for my next shipment. Everything fit and I had a hard time choosing just one outfit to keep! ( again that usually never happens) I weigh a steady 147 and for nearly 5’8 with an hourglass it looks great! I’m very pleased .

6(ish) weeks Return to work

I just had my last follow up appointment last week and was cleared for work. My return date was just shy of 6 weeks ( used all my flex time) so Dr. Rocheford only cleared me for 8 hr shifts my first week back then I can return to 12 hr shifts next week. This was a great call ( of course , she knows her stuff) I’m a staff nurse in a unit that is not physically demanding ( my patients are tiny so no heavy lifting) my stamina was built up and I breezed through the 8 hrs with no issue ( I did ask a coworker to move a heavy isolette for me to which she happily obliged- I was open with my coworkers so they were excited to See me return and asked tons of questions and wanted to see photos. I also brought bagels for everyone ????)
Anyway work went well. I was tired but not exhausted, swollen but not miserably so and I slept well that night . I had a massage scheduled for Sunday night which was perfect after all my swelling .
The clinic and staff made a huge deal about me “ graduating” gave me a gift bag with goodies and discount for any future procedures. This kind of service is top notch and makes you feel special . If you are reading this and are in the Twin Cities area then I highly recommend her and her staff.

It looks like we had our surgery a few days apart. You seem to be doing great. I am also doing lymphatic massages as my swelling is pretty stubborn. Glad everything went well at work. Looking good!

Hi! I went and visited your page and you look great too. Week 5 seems to be the magic turn around week and those massages help tremendously. I do self massage daily as well . I’m looking forward to hearing how you progress after a few more . You went to work way earlier than I did too. I took almost 6 weeks off but I know not everyone has that luxury . You did amazing though, at 3 weeks I only had bursts of stamina and not all day long stamina .

I'm glad you were able to take the time off to take care of yourself. I didn't have issues so much with stamina which came as a surprise. I thought for sure that would be an issue. For me, it was the swelling. It such an uneasy feeling. Fortunately, it has scaled and isn't as distracting as before. Thanks for commenting!
