I first started researching doctors in 2016 and contemplated many doctors in the Dominican Republic. I think what made me choose Dr Giudicelli Saba was his response to complaints and his after care team. I was worried if something goes wrong, how would I be treated? Of course, nothing major happened during my surgery. I did wake up on the table to Dr.G and the lipo stick. Lol I remember moaning and falling back asleep. To be honest, I am glad to say it was him and not someone else working on me. The whole process was a breeze. I was so worried about going alone but everyone spoke English on his team. I suggest writing down your concerns and problems areas before going in. I normally don't get star struck but everyone in his office is beautiful. It kind of blew my mind.
The only thing I wished were different was the after care information. I had some issues with my breast where the stitch was bleeding and was painful. I didn't know I should pull the stitches myself. The nurses walked me through pulling them and it worked but my nipples healed a little zigzaggy as you can see in the pictures. It's nothing that can't be fixed with a little tattoo and nothing that physically bothers me to correct. I had surgery August of 2021 and I stayed in an Airbnb. I definitely recommend Dr.G and Cecip hospital.
The day of labs was super fast and easy. The nurse and anesthesiologist said a prayer for me and put me to sleep. I didn't figure out how to get my own room for recovery but I was in so much pain that I didn't even care. The hospital staff (nurses that check on me through the night) were okay, I wouldn't say they were bad but don't go there expecting American plastic surgery hospital care. I hired 24 hour nurses to stay with me the for a couple days.
I had a couple procedures in one, which was tummy tuck with muscle repair, lipo to the flanks, breast lift with implants. I was 135 lbs starting and 5'1. I also had a small umbilical hernia which was repaired. At 6 months post op, I'm about 142 lbs and everything is mostly healed. One breast is taking a little longer to get soft.
All in all, I'm very satisfied with my body and looking forward to my next lipo appointment. ;) Thank you Dr G and staff.
