Disfigured, Constant Pain 1 Year After MOHS

Over one year ago I had MOHS surgery with reconstruction on my ear. Throughout night of my surgery I had substantial bleeding and unusually severe pain. The following day I called for a recheck and was told that Dr. Chesnut does not provide rechecks. After much discussion I was given an appointment with Dr. Hand five days later. I was still experiencing an unusual amount of pain. Dr. Hand advised me to continue taking Tylenol and stated that he couldn't speculate on why I was experiencing so much pain because he did not have direct knowledge of my reconstructive procedure. Several days later pain and bloody drainage persisted. I called again asking for a recheck appointment with Dr. Chesnut and was told he does not provide followup care for MOHS surgeries. The surgical site remained unhealed and drained blood tinged fluid for 10 weeks. I sought care from another surgeon who debrided the wound allowing it to heal. Over one year later the surgical site remains persistently and sometimes severely painful and the ear is disfigured.
