Modified Lip Lift Revision

Dr. Rodriquez did a lip lift on me in Dec. of 2021. He did a great job for me. We took my philtrum from 15 millimeters to 13 and I wrote a very positive review for him at the time. I made the decision a year after that procedure that I wanted to go a little shorter. I guess I could have gone shorter the first time, but I prefer to be more conservative and didn't mind spending the money on a second procedure rather than go too short and have to kick myself afterward. Anyway, we did the revision on March 24 and so I am now one month post and could not be happier. The procedure was done under local. Getting injected with local around your lips and nose smarts but I took the sedative and pain pill as recommended and he was quick about it so it wasn't too bad. I took Ubers to and from the procedure and will recommend the Marriot Delta for people who, like me, are coming from a distance. I traveled from TN.

I stayed one night after the procedure then drove home no problem. I took only one pain pill after the local wore off and that was all I needed. Thanks to Dr. Rodriquez and his amazing staff...they were great.

I am a retired nurse. I worked in surgery as an RN for 14 years and then did over 20 years in Recovery Room before I retired. This surgeon has the skill set, the eye and the experience that I was looking for. If you're shopping for a lip lift surgeon, I wouldn't used anyone else but this guy! A+++++, best of the best!

I had the surgery on Wednesday Dec. 1st. It went well and was not painful after the initial local injection, which was easily tolerated. Today is Saturday. The incision remains clean and dry. The notable swelling is resolved. No pain at all. The crease and redundant skin which were a result of my previous lip lift in Boca Raton are gone as I'd hoped for. I now almost wish we'd made the crescent incisions along the nare basel to uplift the skin lateral to the philtrum.

At 4 months we will probably discuss doing a follow up if needed to uplift the skin lateral to the pilgrim. This procedure is still fresh and will settle over the following weeks and months. Thus far I am absolutely delighted that Dr. Rodriguez was able to eliminate the crease and redundant skin beneath the columella. Can't wait for the glue and sutures to fall away and the skin underneath to heal and settle. Oh well... Tincture of time now.
