I have some fine lines under my eyes from years of smoking and a few wrinkles i wanted to make less noticeable. I am Very disappointed, went to Modesto Dermatology. I talk to the doctor for like less than a minute and they had some girl do my peel that was jumpy, really worried about burning my skin made me feel like she did not t know what she was doing. I'm on day three still no peel. Had my face and neck done neck was a bust she didn't leave the weak peal on long enough. we will see if anything good comes of it i'm not very opimistic.

Maybe you should give it couple days before you see any peels .. Everyone is different.. Sometime I don't start to peel until in my 4th day .. Like right now .. I had a peel done 5 days ago but the last two days I started to peel.. And I had 20% TCA for acne scar.. I am going back to get more done when I am all heal (peel) up Because going one or two times you won't see any result .. Good luck girl .. Hang in there

I normally start to peel on the 3rd day which can last for 7 days give it time our skin is a very slow healing process

If by day 7 there is nothing I would go back and demand another peel with somone who appears to know what they are doing and are more confidant in it which helps you feel more relaxed about it

12% TCA is actually pretty strong, if done right. It takes several days for the peeling to start. And you need more than 1 peel to get significant results, you need like 3 to 6 and you have to do them 2 to 6 weeks apart for best results.

I've heard that complaint before one time, from a neighbor's mom who wanted a chemical peel to get rid of wrinkles and it did nothing, didn't even peel at all. It was alot of money for her too. It's too bad because she's a very attractive lady self concious about wrinkles but otherwise looks great. A series of them would have been my recomendation and if a new to peel client and didnt know how many layers she could take, then repeat it with more in two weeks. When she told the woman who did the peel, she just shrugged her shoulders and said it varies how the skin reacts. No offer or saying sorry it didn't work even. If it was me giving the peel, I would have offered to do another one, with several more layers for free. TCA is cheap. I do my own now, and wouldn't ever pay again for it. I feel comfortable doing it myself and it does take several usually, but done correctly for what you needed, just a bit of fine lines, one probably should have done the trick. It's sad that in the beauty buisness often there's not enough attention to client satisfaction.

It does take longer than three days to start to peel sometimes, but after a week it's a bust if it hasn't peeled yet. It needs to be repeated and more layers then, as it wasn't strong enough. It should sting quite a bit too. When Ive paid for them they would ask me to rate the pain from one to ten. When I gave numbers like seven or eight we stopped. My hands take longer to peel. I use 15 percent.

12.5% isn't very strong and also its very hard to get the neck or decolletage to peal. If you don't get the results you are looking for try doing your own at home just going up to each next percentage until you get the results you want, it does work, but everybody's skin is different, good luck!

Yeah, I just did it at home with 30% and only left it on for 30 seconds. There was a bit of redness but not much and that's gone now. I think if you read up on it and know what you're doing, it's not something difficult to do and hardly costs anything when you do it yourself.
