Need more aggressive approach

Psychnurse
$1,000
I was pleased with how the procedure got rid of pigmentation; however, the wrinkles continue to worsen. I'm considering a more aggressive laser treatment with some type of derm filler. I would love comments. My facial wrinkles are no longer dynamic. I can feel them on the sides of my face at rest and the lines above my lips...don't get me started! :(

I had a phenol peel, it was pretty good.

I had a consultation late spring and now I basically need a face lift. I plan to get a few more consults and then decide. What is a phenol peel?

I just did mine yesterday at 30 microns, I did know wrinkles will not go away with this but my skin at 59 is looking dryer and more sun damage is popping up so this was my solution. At 24 hours later I am like a walking scab but it's all good really. The numbing cream was great and while I felt the zap the pain was quite reasonable, no pain killers necessary although right after the burning was definitely there. I decided to stay in office till it subsided and the lidocaine was reasonably gone so my shakiness was no longer a problem.

Day 4

Psychnurse
I feel itchy but the redness has decreased. It hasn't done much for wrinkles around my mouth but the brown spots and texture of my skin is much improved already. So far so good. I just wish it had helped my upper lip area :( Oh well.. I'm still puffy around my eyes and nose but today is a major turning point. It's all good!

Hey there, just checking in to see how you are doing, are you happy with your results?
May 26, 2014
Well, the discoloration is gone but it didn't do much for wrinkles. I was under the impression it would make a significant improvement. I wish I had gone for the deeper resurfacing initially. I guess I can look forward to that in the future, lol. Thanks for checking in!

Would luv to know the name of the laser peel.

Hi, I had a micro laser peel with a Sciton laser and profractional therapy. If I had it to do over again I would go with a much deeper peel for wrinkles. I'm not pleased with the results a year later...was told 50% improvement...not the case. It hurt like a %^+^#!

What was your experience like?

I healed in 10 days, it was extensive above my lips. Very pleased with the results. They are gone! Well worth it, plastic surgeon in my area cost $1100.00

I have a high tolerance for pain, I did not need any meds. Right after it burned, next day was very red like a sunburn, a lot of crusting, vinager soaks, cream, washed face four times a day.

I have posted pics, they should be posted soon on the site,

I just had a fractional CO2 laser resurfacing last Monday in Georgetown, Texas. I had it done with Dr. Stabler. He's very professional, really nice man and explains everything so you'll feel comfortable with the procedure. All the girls in the office are just great! I love them all. I do Botox there as well, have for many years. I'm thinking of going back now and getting a breast lift and tell me tuck. Anybody out there living in the Austin area, Copperas Cove, Lampasas area, need something done go see Dr. Stabler at Georgetown plastic surgery

I'm feeling pretty good today. Most noticeable is some itching. I am doubtful the lines around my mouth will be much improved but I can already tell my eye area and cheeks will be better. I'm still incredibly red. The brown spots/freckles appear much worse. I'm hoping this is part of the process and that will diminish. I have to be at a volleyball tournament on Sat and I can't even imagine I'll be ready to meet the public by then!

Welcome :)

I too recall those days of baby oil and tanning.....sitting on the dark roof top of my parents house attempting to draw every ray of sunshine to my skin.

Hope you are doing well and look forward to your updates!

Thank you! Every day is getting better. I'm venturing out today because I have to be at a volleyball tournament. I'm red but not nearly so self-conscious.
