45 YEAR OLD FEMALE WITH TEAR TROUGHS, Mississauga, ON!

ORIGINAL POST

MilaM
WORTH IT$250
I finally took the plunge and went today to get those pesky tear troughs filled up! Of course I went back to the same place that does my Dysport (botox), Skin Layers in Mississauga. Zaher is the best nurse injector ever, I went to him for botox for the first time back in January and then again in July and I won't need botox again until maybe January or February. The wrinkles on my forehead have not yet returned and I will never ever get botox anywhere else. Other places I've had it done, it only lasted 2-3 months which had me going 4 times a year and it got expensive. I can now go only 2 times per year and have the exact same result, amazing!

Anyway, back to my experience today! lol So I went in for my 1pm appointment and Zaher and I discussed my concerns with the hollows under my eyes, as well as some negative reviews I've read regarding Teosyal and possible lumpiness or bruising that could result. He was so sweet and explained that Teosyal is a fantastic product and basically and upgrade from those older versions of Hyaluronic fillers, like "Juvi"...lol The reason why people get the lumpy result and possible bruising is all dependent on who is doing the injections. If the filler is placed superficially when it's supposed to be placed deeper, guess what, lumps can result. Every Teosyal filler has a placement chart which shows the injector under which layer of tissue the filler must be placed for best results. Again, this is why I trust this man completely and I definitely would never take any risks with my face! So after putting on his gloves, Zaher cleansed my tear troughs with alcohol swabs and prepared the Teosyal injection right in front of me. He decided I only needed half a syringe to correct the hollows which I had. Perfect! So the injections began and were near painless. After the initial pin prick, I felt nothing! There were a total of 3 injections per side and it was over in a few minutes. I had a little bit of redness but it faded away in about an hour. I put a little powder foundation on immediately after and the result was unreal! I'm so happy, my eyes look like they did when I was 25, YIPPEEEE! lol That was about 4 hours ago and so far, I'm super happy with the result. The best is, this filler can last up to a year! I recommend this filler highly, but recommend Zaher to do the injections properly even more! I will update in the weeks to come as the filler will settle and look even better over the next week or so. I'm so happy I did this, finally! :)))

Lucky you. You found a place like that. My Botox only last 2-3 months.
I am happy for you. Best of luck.
Thank you for sharing.

I had the same problem until I switched to Dysport.....try it, it is the longest lasting botox on the market! :)

May be I will. I just hope that I can find it. Here in uk Botox is the popular product and it is difficult to find an experienced injector.
Thank you for sharing again.

I just read that Dysport is called Azzulare in the UK....different name in Europe for some reason.

Thank you. I will look it up.

Excellent review, thank you so much for sharing! You didn't use numbing cream or anything? Wow! Yes please do post updates when you can and be sure to post photos too!

December 7, 2015
My pleasure! ;) No numbing cream required! The area under the eyes is the least painful to fill, as was explained to me by Zaher. All that I felt was a little pin prick and I barely flinched....might I add, I HATE needles, always have! lol

I have some swelling in the area where the Teosyal was injected but has been easy to cover up with concealer. This is a normal reaction and can take a few days to a week to completely resolve in the settling process. There is no pain or discomfort in the area at least. I will post more photos in a few days.

The filler looks great. I am booked to get my tear troughs filled before the holidays and very nervous from hearing all the horror stories. did you get any bruising or lumps ?
December 10, 2015
Thank you! :) I didn't get any bruising, probably because my guy uses special needles that are meant to minimize or eliminate bruising. I think he mentioned they are slightly rounded so they are less likely to puncture a vein in the area. I didn't get any lumps but there had been some swelling, most likely as it's my first time getting this filler and my body is reacting to the enzymes/vitamins in the filler. It's been 5 days since I had it done and the swelling is gone now. It was easy to hide with makeup and nobody noticed it at all. (see my last pic) I'm really happy with the results and I will post more photos soon. Good luck and don't worry, the lumps I've read about seem to happen in other areas of the face and lips....personally I blame the injector for that! :)

One week update!

MilaM
It has been a week since I had a half syringe of the Teosyal filler injected into my tear troughs and the swelling is completely gone! It was actually gone by day 5 but I figured it has probably settled better and has a more natural appearance now. I love it, it has made a huge difference in pictures. :)

Looks great! Ive had my tear troughs filled with a half syringe. My injector said its not good to over fill the tear trough area. I really like the results but they did not last very long at all. I had Restelyne injected into the area and also Volift by Juviderm. I think the Restyline lasted longer then the Volift but neither lasted as long as they claim to last. After about 4-6 weeks the bags were back. I have heard good things about Teosyal so might consider trying that. Your results look great. Would you ever get more then half syringe injected under there? I read a review on a woman who has Teosyal products injected into her lips, cheeks and tear troughs and her results look great but shes had I think 3 syringes under the eyes! Seems like alot!
December 23, 2015
Thank you! :) Oh wow, that lady must've had some BIG bags if she required 3 syringes! I can't imagine anyone needing that much! lol I'm happy with half a syringe, I think more would look too puffy and unnatural. My guy uses the best stuff on the market because he wants repeat customers and for everyone to be happy. But it is possible that everyone's body metabolizes fillers differently. Maybe give Teosyal a try, it's supposed to last 6 months to a year but I still have to wait a while before I can comment on how long it has lasted. Wish ya luck!
December 24, 2015
Thanks. Ill keep checking for updates to see how your progress is going.

How much was the half syringe of Teosyal?
December 24, 2015
I will update in a few months! A half syringe was $250.
December 30, 2015
you look great in your after photos. So did you only do half a syringe? and the price was 250 for half at Zaher's? I think I would need probably 1 full syringe. Do you know how much he charges for 1 syringe and is he a registered dermatologist?
thanks :)
December 30, 2015
Thank you! ;) Yes, I did only half a syringe (1/4 per eye) for 250 so one full one is 500. He is a registered nurse who is trained in cosmetic injectables.
