To live without constant conic pain, my Current size 34 G. I have had very large breast and suffered for years . Recently while preparing for a holiday and traveling to numerous specialty boutiques looking for a bathing suit with no success one owner says, dear has your doctor never advised you to get a breast reduction ? Call me stupid but I never knew health care would cover this procedure. My day just got better, I left with out a new suit but I had hope I might finally have relief from this pair of boulders. Which has brought me here on my journey, and 2 weeks away from my procedure! I intend to share, as much as possible along the way.

I will follow you. I am 63, went in for my initial breast reduction consultation in October. I am having mine done on Tuesday, Jan 12th. When I went on YouTube to view breast reduction stories, I noted that just about all of the women vlogging their experiences were young. I think I might take my own experience, as a woman over 60, to YouTube. It would have helped me tremendously to see what other women my age experienced, though I will say that all the videos that I watched were very informative. I am going from a 34F down to either a large B cup or a small C. My surgeon (brilliant woman! She is a living legend among the sales staff at my specialty bra store, he work is so beautiful) will decide when she studies my proprotions more carefully. I am good with a large B. That used to be my size until my second baby was born 33 years ago, and then I went up to a C. Somehow, after menopause? Everything went nutty. I did not gain much weight at all overall, but my breasts just took on this mammoth size and shape and I have hated them ever since. I am 5'6" and weigh between 129 and 135, depending on how careful I am being with my eating. Both my GP and my chiropractor wrote letters indicating that my chest has caused me a lot of discomfort and that my breasts have forced me to have somewhat rounded shoulders, not to mention the permanent grooves in the shoulders. Insurance is covering the cost of the reduction, but I am paying for bra-line liposuction, which will make sleeveless tops and jersey knits much more attractive on my body than they are right now. So ready for this!

Hi Cialci quite the journey ahead of us. I am the type of personality that has read and researched as much as possible to prepare. U tube of mature women would also be beneficial. You should do it!

I also am ready!

nice to see from your post you are home recovering. I haven't bought anything for upright sleeping, just have lots of pillows do you think that will work? Are you up walking often yet or just for bathroom visits? Happy Healing!

I am so hoping the next few days pass quickly. Like many on this forum it seems the days leading up to our surgery causes us the most uncertainty, afraid of the unknown. I am confident that I am in the most capable of hands with my choice of Dr. Lista and his clinic. I feel butterfly's but I do believe that is normal. Happy healing!
