I had a breast lift with 450cc gummy bear implants. After losing 70 lbs my body was in terrific shape, but my breasts were gone. I'd thought and prayed for over a year about having something done never believing I would. Well after much searching, research & waiting I was referred to Dr Lista. The person that referred him was & still is trusted. I simply think he didn't do a good enough job with me, and like most people when told they need to redo something, crazily shifted blame to me! I showed him the areas of concern that being the laxity of my left breast vs my right. The height & location of the left implant and the unnatural way it fell & felt. I'm 2 months post op & my right breast feel as though I was born with it. The left one looks like a from has taken up residence on my chest. Even the nurse simply pulled my skin back to reveal the few inches of skin he'd have to remove in order to complete what could be a beautiful chest! When I voiced my concerns he immediately became defensive (I knew he would-you can see thru the smiles) and told me there's nothing he can do and that what I was looking at was my natural laxity. That's what the lift was to take care of, no?!?!! Well, when I showed him in the mirror what i was unhappy with he growled i put the right size implant in & you got a lift! He then scurried quickly to his chair to show me b4 pix & that's when I knew no matter what I showed him to be true, he was never going to admit to my needing a revision. To that fact when I asked him if he could he barked 'NO'. I thanked him, smiled and agreed with everything else that came out of his mouth. I have a follow up in Jan where I'll give it another try, but let's say I really don't want someone with that kind of ego working on me. He should want me to be happy, not himself.

Thank you. I feel empowered by having a community of this nature to look to.

What a horrible experience. I hope as you heal you results improve. Mine are little by little.

Thank you so much! I'm saddened that such a personal journey was stamped on. And I'd like to have a tummy tuck & Juvederm too-but guess who won't be doing it! I was hoping my results would look better over time too, but have been assured by him, the way I look is how I'm going to look. Fact is as the swelling & everything else went down, so did my lift. I'm looking for someone to do a revision as I'm sure he won't! Anyone that's had one, and is ecstatic with their revision results, please feel free to forward me your story & doctors info. I see Dr Lista again in Jan, but can anticipate the negative outcome of that visit. So by Jan I'd like to have interviewed enough doctors to have a revision booked for early Spring.
Fingers crossed please!

Fingers crossed! It is absolutely terrible that there is no attempt on his part to ensure you are happy with your results.

Thank you for the support in this. It's been hard, but like you say, I won't give him the opportunity to further insult me. Such a deeply personal journey with such a horribly impersonal man.

the way you caught him treating his own employees speaks volumes about his character :(

GP Opinion

I saw my GP today who encouraged but warned me about the merits and drawbacks of plastic surgery. She knew my breasts were severely deflated yet kindly let me know I was still beautiful. 3 months post op and she's seeing them for the first time & is extremely happy with the results. Although she agrees the left breast does need a minor revision, she again has let me know love yourself & don't look for perfection (or a heart) in most PS. We're not perfect beings and have to learn to accept that. She does think my PS is a jerk for how he's treated me, & does suggest looking for someone else SHOULD I decide to have a revision. I'll take her advice, learn to love the new me, knowing things can be made better or worse & to enjoy having breasts again vs raisinettes as I laughingly referred to them as! Lol. So I'm still going to move forward in my search for a new PS who can do revisions, and prob take the advice of one of the members here to find someone who specializes in reconstructive surgery, but I'll try not to panick and fuss about it each day. It's all a journey and I suppose having a large frog in place of a saggy raisinette is part of it-for now!

Dr Listas question. Does this look better than how you looked b4? Yes.
My question. Does this address MY concerns of saggy AND deflated breasts? No.
