Healing is going well

Had a visit w the nurse she showed me how to massage, increased the amount of washing and putting on arnacare (all starting Monday)

I've been off my Meds I feel great. I don't even really feel the need for Tylenol. I've been wearing my band religiously 24/7 minus the shower and washing.

I can shower and do my hair on my own, I do feel more tired than usual. Still resting and watching Netflix marathons

I only put this spots bra on for a hot second as I am not to wear one until a few more weeks but I am so happy w my results

Wow that's amazing you can do so much by yourself!! They look gorgeous, esp in that bra - VS right? I've had a miserable 2 days with terrible pain and soreness, but now I'm staying on top of the meds and think it's calming down some. Hope you continue to have a smooth recovery sweetie!!

It's from dkny. And I bought it before not knowing what size i would be :) I am very swollen and heavy. Tomorrow will be my one week. I am starting to get those ziggers in both breasts now. Tylenol extra strength has been my friend. Thanks for the kind message , I hope your pain goes down. Try to do as little as possible.

How was your first week back to work? Horrible that it was so hot this week! Hopefully it didn't make you too uncomfortable.

Uncomfortable did not even begin to describe Tuesday and Wednesday at work. With no ac I was so swollen and uncomfortable Feeling much better since the temperature dropped. I go for my 2 week post op Thursday (17 days post op). Not sure if my scars are on track as they still look the same. I can't wait to stop wearing this band but more importantly I just want to wear a sports bra ! Hopefully I will get clearance to do some cardio Oh and the massaging is not so pleasant, getting better though

I can just imagine how hot and sore that would be :( Hopefully, this week will be better and not so unbearably hot! Good luck with your post op this week! You wont see Dr Lista unless the nurse sees a problem until your 6 week post op. My scars didnt start to look better until the 3 week mark but I did notice small improvements. If I can remember correctly, you will be able to start scar treatment with the scar fade after 2 weeks.. It does help. I remember looking at my scars and being scared that they would always look that way, but now they arent noticeable.. Luckily cool weather is on the way and you can hide them until you're healed :) Good luck with next week at work, week 3 and 4 I felt way better!!

Morning boob and constipation

B
BA_annd
Oh it is all worth it, morning boob was in full effect! I just felt so swollen, hard and heavy. It subsided after moving around. It really is worse in the morning.
I know many people are constipated for days and I have been taking my stool softener but had no BM yesterday so I took smooth move tea and some collace. Still nada this morning except a lot of gas and burping Added a suppository into the mix and tahdah! I just finished another tea and will take another couple collace to help get things going until I stop w the pain meds.
An uncomfortable bloated stomach and breasts are no fun !
I get to shower this afternoon !

Congrats!! Yay for boobs!! Sounds like you are experiencing everything I went through too:) When is your one week post op? I switched to extra strength tylenol instead of the pain meds after day 3 and felt way better.. I also drank a ton of water. They will look completely different once they settle, but you're already looking fabulous!! :)

Sorry you're having those issues sweetie, that's a terrible feeling!! Try sennakot S - it's a natural senna laxative/stool softener. Works every time!! And without the terrible cramping of the harsher stuff. Feel better love

I haven't up dated but I'm good and back to normal. Still bloated but I am guessing that is from all the Meds and anaesthetic Stopped taking Meds a day ago now it's just Tylenol when needed :) I'm on the mend

Yay! The worst is over.. Now your patience will be tested as you wait for them to settle and your scars to fade.. It does happen, but I remember feeling that it was a long process. I was bloated for about a week.. I drank lots of water to flush out all the meds and took a probiotic to help my tummy. ( you are given antibiotics in your IV) Enjoy the long weekend and good luck returning to work on Tuesday!!Have you found a top to wear for your first day back??

Yes outfit found ..... I just wish the weather would be cooler as its not short sleeves. I'm gonna start back taking my multi and probiotics as I have been off them for awhile. Enjoy your weekend too

Day 2. Tube removal

B
BA_annd
Today I went to have my drainage tubes removed and my pain pump. Removal of tubes made my knees weak but I have a weak stomach, strangest feeling when they were pulled out. My chest feels tight and heavy. The compression band is pushing them down, it's not as far into my armpits now that the tubes are gone. My armpits are tender but that is to be expected as that's where my incision was.
Tomorrow I can shower and have to begin washing my incisions
I have not slept much which surprises me bc I thought I would sleep most of the day. I am still taking my meds and no BM yet. I am so bloated and uncomfortable.

I am excited to see how these transform over the next days, weeks and months.

I've heard having the pump removed is gross feeling. My dr doesn't use them (that I know of) and I'm pretty thankful for that. I'm surprised the meds haven't knocked you out!
B
August 31, 2016
The pain pump didn't hurt it was the drainage tubes that weren't pleasant. Haha I am still wide awake. Gonna try to take two Oxy and see if that knocks me out. I couldn't sleep before surgery because i was to excited and nervous and now I have them and I still can't sleep !

Haha! That's brutal. Lol. Excitement and adrenaline has taken over apparently. I think this is the first I've read about someone not sleeping after surgery, other then from pain of course.. But I think usually the drugs do a pretty good job of knocking most people out. Good luck doll! I hope you get some sleep. :)

In your package that was sent home, there should be two cards telling you the implant type, and profile that your PS used. Keep them for warranty or any future revisions etc. :)

Aww hope you're feeling better after some rest!! It really really helps to sleep. Are you happy with the girls so far?! Looks like it'll be the perfect size on you, esp after they drop!! Happy healing hun!!
B
August 31, 2016
I am feeling better. As everyone says first thing in the am is worse. As for size I am very happy. I went as big as I could and I know once they drop and fluff I will be a happy girl.

That's good news!! Minus the morning boob. What are you doing for a sleep set up? From what I've seen, it seems that the more inclined your body is the less awful the morning boob is.. I'm not sure if that's right, but that's what I've noticed. I ordered a 12 inch wedge pillow yesterday. I couldn't decide if I was going to bother because I figured I would just make due. But thought that's silly. I would rather have it and not need it rather then wish I had it and it be too late.
B
August 31, 2016
My PS said incline for day one which I did - use armchair pillow cushion and some pillows. Last night I did the same set up just a little less of an incline, I had a nap on just a pillow and was fine. The incline helps bc it's easier for you to get up. I have had no trouble getting up on my own, I just use my core and some deep breaths.
Order whatever you need you want this to be as comfy and easy of a recovery as possible. How many days did you take off work ?

My surgery is on a Tuesday. Conveniently I don't work Monday's. So I will take the Tuesday-Friday off and go back the following Tuesday. I work in an office and sit at my desk most of the time so work should be no problem. My main concern is that I'm also an esthetician very part time, so I need to be sure I see all my clients as close to surgery day as possible because that is a lot of arm movement/work which will no doubt be harder on me then my actual job. My husband is also taking that week off so that will be great! I don't think he NEEDS to take the entire week. But he feels more comfortable if he can be there. I definitely won't complain. How long are you off?
B
August 31, 2016
I go back on the 6th of sept. So I will have had a full week of rest. You will need him to open Meds and such, like today I am sure I will need my mum to blow dry my hair!
User Avatar

August 31, 2016
Yes absolutely! Will you be able to wash your hair in the shower? I've already warned my husband that I'll need him to wash my hair. We will see if he's brave enough to blow dry it. I have pretty short hair, so it needs to be blow dried a certain way otherwise it's just crazy, but if I just let it air dry it's just a poof ball lol. Maybe that job will be something I'll have to teach my daughter. Hah.
B
August 31, 2016
I think I will if I go slow. If not then it's a job for mum! I have to wash my incisions twice a day, the thought of touching them makes me weak which is weird because they are still numb ( my nurse said that's fine and normal) Oh if mine is not blow dried I will be a disaster. And I would like to feel semi normal today

The incisions freak me out too! I'm also confused about that process, which I'm sure I'll be told what to do on surgery day. But I thought they are supposed to stay covered until the tape the dr puts ok them comes off... Is that the case with yours? Did they give you instructions on how to clean them?
B
August 31, 2016
Mine are in my armpits I was told once I take off the tape and cotton gauze I'm to leave them off. No deodorant or anything on them just let them be!

I washed my incisions carefully in the shower with baby wash and then again at night with a clean wash cloth and soap. was totally fine, just do it gently but its important to keep them clean, there are stitches inside and the ones you can see will dissolve or fall out and whatever is still there your nurse will remove at your 1 week post op.. armpit incisions are different than other incisions.
B
August 31, 2016
