I am so excited to have finally chosen a surgeon and a procedure date! I've wanted to increase the size of my breast for as long as I can remember. But since I'm 19 now and probably have stopped growing, I believe that now is the time to get it done. So a bit about me:
19 years old
130lbs
5'7
Pre op bra size: 34A at lazenza (but I got measure today at VS and they said I'm a 32C ...confusing)
I'm Chinese
Athletic, love to play sports
I've seen quite a few surgeons in the Toronto, Ontario area in the past few months. My first consult was with la Fontaine. They told me to go with 375-400cc under muscle with the crease incision ($6700+HST) Dr Ron Levine, my second consult told me to go with 375-400cc textured over the muscle crease incision ($7427 after tax). My third consult was with dr sam silwin, he suggested 375-425cc but he could go as high as I wanted with a crease insision ($7800+HST). My fourth consult was with dr Kesarwani. He suggested textured implants under the muscle 375-400cc max ($8000+HST). My fifth consult was with the Toronto cosmetic clinic, the lady suggested 400-450cc implants under the muscle and crease incision. My sixth consult was with dr backstein and he said 400-425cc high profile under the muscle ($7900+HST) And lastly my seventh consult was with dr frank Lista. I really liked how with dr Lista, each patient gets their own coordinator who would assist you on the full surgical journey. He told me with my lack of breast fold I should go with the trans ax (armpit) incision. The trans ax is one of his specialties so I felt comfortable with that. Originally he told me, after he took some measurements, that the smallest I could go was 250cc and highest was 375cc. This confused me because all the other surgeons said 400-425cc range. So I tried some sizers on. The implants in the 200 range were way too small and natural for my liking. I feel like the point of doing a BA is to get a noticeable increase of size. The 375cc's looked quite natural as well, so we called dr Lista back in and he re measured me. He told me the utmost highest I could go was 400-425cc high profiles. I really liked the looks of both the 400cc and the 425cc so I'm still torn between the two sizes. My left Breast is slightly larger than the right but when trying on implants of the same size the difference was barely noticeable so hopefully there won't be a drastic difference between L and R boob! With dr Lista I was quoted $7900 +HST which comes out to be $8927. That price is pretty average in Toronto and I feel confidant with dr Lista and his many years of experience to give me the full looking breasts I desire. Today I paid my $1000 deposit to secure my surgery date! NOV 10 2014!! Super excited. Now I just need to decide between 400-425cc. But what I do know Is I will be doing smooth, unders, high profile, transax incision! :) I'll post pictures of my breasts and dream boobies later today!

Ahhh! Can't believe I found someone with the same story as me! I'm having 400l 425r hp under trans ax by dr frank Lista in a week!! I'd love to chat more about your exp and what size you ended up doing and if you're happy!? I'm confused he originally suggested those sizes for you, because you were bigger than I am to begin, and he told me 300-425cc right off the bat and never changed. Inbox me if you're willing to chat more! :)
December 17, 2014
well i know that he gives the min and max implant sizes based on your breast width, mine was 11.5-12cm. so even though i had more breast tissue, we probably had the same breast width. :) and for sure! if you have any questions im happy to answer them :)
December 17, 2014
Ok that makes sense. I'm 12cm :). Just really wanted to know if you're happy with the size? Do you feel like you went too big? That's the only thing I'm worried about. I'm 5"9, but small frame and I just don't want to look stupid. I was hoping for a full C, and I have much less tissue than you did so I might be ok? Also, what was the pain level like? And when did you feel normal and when did they start looking good?
December 17, 2014
Well I'm only one month post op and I find they're still changing every day! To be honest I had no pain, it was just unconfortable. So I never took any pain he pain pills...the pain pump works wonders!! I got cleared for bras last week and I'm wearing Victoria secret bras in a DD!! I told him I only wanted to be a full C small D though. Some days I get boob greed wishing I went bigger (although he said I couldn't) and others I love them!!! To be honest if I went bigger I would have looked to heavy. When's your surgery?! :) and try to make rice sizers or try on more testers at the clinic :)
December 17, 2014
My surgery is on Tuesday! 6 days:) I've decided on the 400/425, it looked best on me, I'm just nervous lol. Yah VS has weird sizing though. They tell me I'm a B right now which I 100% am not, so I'd be anxious to know what size you are at La Senza. Well I'm glad you didn't have pain! Did you have any trouble sleeping? Doesn't he remove the pain pump the next day? Did he have to put you out again for that? You've been really helpful, I'm soooo excited just scared that I won't like having this big things and will feel fat or something!
December 17, 2014
Yay your big day is so soon!! Are you getting smooth silicones through the armpit too? And are you going high profile? :) Lol I actually did go to Lasenza to get measured too. I'm a 34DD there, the 34D was too small in the cups! :) before my BA I was only wearing Lasenza bras in 34B (but they were padded so idk if that effects the cup size) I just say I was a full A small B. And nope I didn't really have trouble sleeping... I'm generally a tummy sleeper so it kinda cramped my back but nothing totally bad. And yep, you have to go back the day after surgery for them to remove the pain pump and drains... I had developed really bad bruising so they put me under general anesthesia in the OR to drain the blood and left me with a drain in that side. (I posted pics of it in my last update) but normally... The day after surgery appointment should only take 10-15 mins. Whereas mine took 6 hours cuz of the complication! :( and noooo you'll love them!!!! Trust me :) especially when they're soft and squishy for sure! :) it's a great experience and all of dr Lista's staff are amazing!!
December 17, 2014
Agreed! Who's your patient coordinator? Mines Rosie, and she's the sweetest ever! Yes I'm actually doing everything the same as you, high profile, smooth silicone through the armpit behind the muscle! Lol that's why when I found your profile I was like no way! Eeeek I really don't want to be a D that just scares me and I think I'll look too big! Guess I'll just get used to it lol. Yah I saw your bruising pictures, that looked so painful! Are yours squishy yet? I'm going on vacation 5 weeks after and am hoping they will drop and look decent by then:) so glad you didn't have trouble sleeping, although having tubes hanging out of you must have been weird lol
December 17, 2014
My coordinator is Barbara. She's so nice :) and yeah I love stumbling on people with similar stats let along have the same PS! And ya after two weeks post op you get to start massaging so make sure you massage a lot. They're really quite squishy now and almost 5 weeks so you'll definetly be good to go :)

Those are a lot of different opinions :) I personally love unders. Yes they cut the pectoral muscles & you'll lose some strength ( my PS said I would gain it back). You're recovery is a little bit longer; but your breast will be less likely to have CC scaring. It looks like you have a good amount of breast tissue so if you want over muscle I'm sure it will cover, but you might have rippling. What do you feel like your ultimate goals are & what do you want when you imagine your perfect breast? I think you're going to have wonderful results & I hope you found a PS who you feel comfortable with. Someone who listened to your goals. Have you requested to talk to any of the patients who've had the same procedure you've had? I was able to talk to a woman who had the same procedure I had & she was so helpful. I'm so glad I was able to talk to her, she gave me a lot of advice about sports bras & what to expect post op. :) I wish you the best of luck & want to welcome you to Real Self, it's a wonderful community with people who will walk with you each step of the way through your journey! I'm 5'5 145lbs, my measurements at Victoria Secrets pre op were 34", 41 1/2" & 36" under my bustline. They said my bra size pre op was 36DD -38D & I have 425cc silicone moderate plus smooth round implants under muscle & my new measurements are 38",42"&36" & my bra size is 36 DDDD-34 G. Some of VS bras are very gracious & some run very large. I hear some run small as well. I bought the biggest bra cup & size I was willing to live with to my pre op appointment; I was looking at 425cc, 450cc & 475cc's moderate plus silicone. The morning of surgery I told my dr that I wanted to be able to let my girls out & I didn't want to have really heavy breasts because I have back & neck problems. So he chose 425cc & I love them, they feel so real & soft. Because I have enough breast tissue my dr felt it would be a waste of money to get textured implants. I look forward to seeing your what you choose & how your journey progresses. :)

Hey excitedflower! Thanks for the warm welcome. Yeah I've read reviews saying that the submuscular placement takes longer to heal... But I'd rather not take a chance of bottoming out, capsular contraction and rippling. I feel that in my heart i really want to go with the 425ccs but I booked another consult with dr Lista on sept 26, to try on sizers with clothes. I'll post some wish boobs :)

You're welcome sweetheart! I think you're wise in going under & I just noticed your age so your only option is saline (not that it's bad or not as good as silicone). I think that size will really give you the look you're going for. I look forward to hearing about your other consult! I really think you'll be happy with your BA .

I think you should go with what is in your heart. What's interesting is 425cc was what was in my heart & then my PS was suggesting 450ccs-475cc's ...then the morning of surgery he chose 425cc's. I think you're going to be very happy with 425cc's :)
August 27, 2014
Yes, I love the quote follow your heart. And i have my heart set on the 425 but I'm scared it'll make me look top heavy. Gah! :$ but the 425s on you look amazing!! How are you healing Up? :)

Welcome Kaitsnewgirls. I'm actually getting my BA with Dr. Lista also in 3 weeks. I'm getting 375/400 HP but my stats are different from yours and that's the highest he would go on me. Since I'm paying this high amount, might as well go big. Im 5'1 and 107lbs. They say you lose 25cc when it goes under the muscle. From your stats I would consider 425cc but it also depends on your BWD (breast width dimension). He would know best but I did research on the implants also before when I consulted with him.
August 27, 2014
Hey kim214! Wow!! You're so lucky your date is coming up so soon! I wish you all the best with a quick and easy recovery! :) and when I went in for consult It was odd, he originally told me 250-375cc after he measured the first time but when I asked if I could go bigger, he lifted up my breast and said "ohh okay well we could do this" re measured it and said I could do 400-425cc. So I'm not fully sure my BWD but I'm definetly going to ask when I go in for my second consult. :) I know the width of the 425 HP from natrelle is 12cm and mentor is 12.5cm...I hope it will give me cleavage!
August 28, 2014
Thank you. Yes, Lista can say one thing then other after. He likes more of the natural look but from what I read in different sites is that more girls want their breasts to be bigger than the chosen size after surgery and I believe Lista knows that. So, i think he is trying to go bigger so the patients are more happy with their results. Most likely he is going to use Mentor on you from the sizes that were chosen. Get all your questions/concerns out to him ( some may sound stupid but better to ask than not). THat way you will feel better. Good Luck!

I absolutely know Boob Greed is the biggest regret I hear too & the girls at my drs office were shocked when I was afraid to go too big. You're going to lose 25cc under muscle. Best of luck to you sweetheart

I'm 7 wks post-op today, I have pics on my profile. I'm doing good. My lovely Son shared his cold so I'm stuffy & sick but this too shall pass... I'll post some more pics today :) I love unders, it's worth the extra pain & recovery time for sure. Have you played with rice sizers yet?

Oops I just saw your stats. I'm actually I'm 411/2 " around my chest exactly what I was before surgery & I've lost some upper pole I was 34" pre op & 38" 4 wks post-op, now I'm 37 1/2".
