I am still having soreness and pain to right butt cheek and abdominal area is tender. I am sitting but no longer than an hour or so. I am still using my bbl and regular pillow to sit! Everyone knows my lil bbl pillow!! It's a life saver! I'm starting to wear my waist cincher daily with exercise.. I'm still swelling around my butt as well as my stomach. I am more serious about my stomach going down.

Okk thanks. I am so shock how your stomach is so flat. How did he do that with jus lipo omg. The skin really contracted. Most doctors results the skin doesnt contract. Iv seen alot of pics on here with people belly did not contract. Dr perry is the dam best. I think its cause hes the only one that use the tape. Other dr need to start using the tape. Cant wait to see my results. Im still taped up

Girl that tape tho!!! Omg.. it works... and yes he is the only surgeon that uses the tape.. the only surgeon that uses the holes in the garments too. I still can't believe it either.. the tape really helps... I wore that tape for a week and my lower abdomen retracted just that quick!

Girl he changed my tape the first time i was screaming i didn't even look at my stomach i told him put the new one back on now cause i felt like i couldn't breathe without the tape. The second time he changed it which was friday i thouht my skin was literally peeling off i had to stop i couldn't take the pain so he left the bottom of my belly part on and jus added new tape. So this tuesday the tape suppose to be coming off for good im scared about that it hurt so dam much. When your tape offically came off could u handle being without the tape? Cause the first time he took it off me i needed it back on.

Yes.. I had my tape on for another week after the first week... it felt the same way... like I needed it on.... when he takes it off next time use alcohol soaked gauze to help with loosening the tape and take it off at the same time as you or someone is rubbing the area with the alcohol... that helped a lot...

Yes... that hyperfix tape works.. but it hurts like hell to remove it..and the shower will only make it worst...
User Avatar

Have Nadege help with pulling the tape off.. she does a better job... she's more gentle and plus she will soak you in alcohol which makes it easier to remove.. tell Dr perry that Tamika told you to ask for Nadege assistance.... he should definitely remember me...
R

Okk il do the alcohol. And Yeah nadage helped the first time to take it off but the second time he did it yes nadage do it alot better shes more gentle. Il let her take it off tmrw cause boi oh boi that [RS bleep] was hurting like hell with dr perry. But when you took it off the last time for good and u felt like u needed what did u do?
R
October 17, 2016
And what u mean the shower make it worst? It makes the tape stay on more. Or it hurt your skin without the tape?

Hi!! Thank you!! Dr perry places this cloth stretchy tape on called hyperfix tape post surgery to help lift any sagging skin that may be left around your abdomen. It works very well against gravity.. it helped flatten the bulge that was right after the liposuction..

I am thinking about traveling but I do not have anyone to come with me and traveling on the plane I dont know how I would sit. How are you doing now?
User Avatar

I bought a bbl pillow.. had rolled up bath towels for the plane. The only time I sat was when I had to for landing and taking off. Advise you to buy the bbl pillow before you have surgery so you can travel with it. I stood up and sat on my knees the whole flight.

Hey girl today im 6 days post op and still so stiff. What did u use at home for that ?
User Avatar

October 11, 2016
Hey I sent you a message yesterday and RealSelf team removed it... not sure why!! Anyway..keep moving as much as possible... take your Aleve or ibuprofen if you can take them... light stretches... take arnica pills and use the arnica cream lightly.. do not place any cream near your incision...are your sutures out yet? Make sure you keep the incisions clean as possible... dry as possible after showers.. by patting them dry.. if steri strips are on there leave them on as long as possible .. when sutures are removed still cover with small bandaids.. I just recalled that I'm talking to a nurse... lol!!! I'm a nurse also but I wasn't a nurse when it came to myself going thru this!!! I am 7 weeks out and still sore okay!!! You will be sore.. expect that... just try to keep moving around as tolerated.

Also I ate pineapples .. drank pineapple tea and juice.. I also took bromelain tablets which all helped tremendously!!! My regimen in the am was to eat my boiled egg with bacon or etc.. drink my tea or coffeee.. take my vitamin b complex... bromelain and ibuprofen... I was good to go!! I will suggest that you drink water allllllll dAy... you will be swelling a lot!!!! Compression... drinking a lot of water daily is key!!! I can't stress this enough.. get some compression stockings.. they the cute colorful ones you can get from scrubs n beyond... if you are going back to work soon.. good luck.... your body needs to heal.... you will see if you do too much your body will show you!!! So if you are able to get at least another week or two off that would be good..

Thank you girl.i dont mind being sore. I cant handle being stiff. Are you stiff still? And my stitches is still in i think hes going to take them out friday. Did u buy that ball and other roller thing to massage yourself at home that dr perry recommended???? And no i still have another week off before work thank god! I could never get comfortable. I wake up like every 2 to 3 hours at night to walk bcus i am so stiff. Its like hell!

Yes.. its way better than first two weeks post op.. I'm still sore.. not too stiff.. but it definitely takes time!!! I bought that massager machine .,. The roller ball and the long foam roller. It helps to use it daily ..a few times a day if you can tolerate it.. it helps.. he will tell you no massages... but I will tell you to get the massages because the swelling is serious!!! Please drink water... watch your NA intake!!! You can look at one potato chip and will swell up chile!!! You know when there's swelling.. there is pain!! You can also cut up cucumbers and drink in water because that serves as a diuretic as well... I was up every hour to two hours in the bathroom... also avoid getting constipated!!! That's the last thing you need!! Yes.. the more you move around the better you will feel. When you are laying down.. always remember to move your legs and feet around too. I took a baby aspirin daily too just in case...
