I’ll start out by stating that I have all the typical hyperhydrosis symptoms; stinky, copious dripping sweat that would soak through a shirt in an hour.
Went to my appointment on 04Mar and was injected with lidocaine to numb the area. The shots were pretty painful but after the first few I no longer felt the needles. I lost count with how many shots I got but there were quite a few. Afterwards the RN verified I was numb and then started the treatment. I felt basically nothing after this point. The whole treatment took about 75 min including the numbing.
I was sent home with some ice packs and my pits stayed numb for 4-5 hours. I iced religiously 20 min on 20 min off and took ibuprofen 800. Once the numbness went away I felt a burning sensation like a bad sunburn. My armpits were very red and swollen.
Sleeping that night was pretty uncomfortable. The pain was pretty bad even with the ibuprofen and my armpits were so swollen I couldn’t put my arms down.

I had this done on 3/5 - my armpits look exactly like yours. I could have written your same review, although I haven't worked out yet. Look forward to seeing how you progress.

I was a bit surprised with how swollen I got. Looks like everyone reacts a bit differently but oh man I’m feeling a bit like I got the short stick here. I’ll continue to update every so often. Nothing new today, still swollen and tender

Hi, I’m thinking about getting this procedure done. I just want to know if you sweating excessively in other areas of your body and is your odor gone?

I sweat everywhere, but I’m not sweating any more than I was in other areas. Miradry only affected my armpits and there’s no compensation sweating that I’ve noticed. My pits sweat just a little now and regular deodorant control any body odor. Hope that helps

Day 4 update

brighte3s
Day 1 was definitely the worst of it.

Day 2 I woke up and the swelling had moved into my biceps. Still rather painful and uncomfortable but it’s getting a bit easier to sleep.

Day 3 and still swollen, less bruised. But now I noticed my pits still stink. Haven’t worn deodorant at all since the procedure, but have been washing twice a day as recommended by the RN.

Day 4 Armpits are still very swollen but the pain is starting to go away. They are still very lumpy and tender to the touch. I’ve still been icing as prescribed.
Decided that today I felt good enough to hit the gym again and did 20 min on the bike. Armpits got rather sweaty and smelly so really not sure if this worked at all. Armpit skin felt pretty hot and irritated so it may have been too soon for vigorous activity. Put more ice on them after and they felt ok
