miraDry - not as painful as I thought :)

WORTH IT$1,500
I had my miraDry at Duet Plastic Surgery in Palo Alto, CA, with Dr. Angeline who did the numbing injection and Gigi, the assistant who performed the miraDry procedure itself on me.
So, all of these reviews I read before going on the procedure myself did scare the poo out of me. I thought it was gonna be super crazily painful that I had to shower myself with Vicodin after.
Turned out, it was only 3/10, pain wise, to me.
I was lazy in putting the ice on my armpits, because I felt the pain/swelling never bothered me that much. I kept going with my activities the same day, no problem. I slept good, no problem.
Now, I am 4 days post the procedure, I don't sweat as much, I felt a little damp in the area but that's all. I had to run from the parking lot to some place like a mile away, back and forth, walking up and down the stairs, despite the damp, my shirt was still dry.
For $1500, sweat-free for life...... HELL YEAH. Do it, people!

Did they use a nerve block on you so you felt nothing and were able to tolerate the highest level? Or was it multiple lidocaine shots? I'm more nervous about the pain of all the shots than the procedure! Also how long were you swollen?

Hey, sorry that I never got the chance to read your comment until now. They did numb the areas so I didn't feel anything. But really, no pain at all even after the numbing wore off. I plan to do my second session next week. The first one only reduced the sweating by 20-30%. So I hope the second one will seal it for good. Wish me luck.
Thank you for sharing your experience - please consider reviewing your procedures as well. Love to read more of your experiences and see pics too!
