Day 3

WORTH IT$1,800
Most of the swelling is gone. I have a little swelling to the actual armpit and bruising/redness. No pain, no discomfort, no sweating, and no body odor- as well as no deodorant. So far I am happy I had the procedure done!

Hi! It’s been about a month, and I’m wondering if you’ve developed any sweating or smell. Thanks!
Hi! Nope- no odor at all. It’s crazy. I never thought that was possible. No sweating either. I rarely wear deodorant (more out of habit). I am 100% happy with the procedure. It slowed the hair growth down too. I still have some lumps in my armpits. Hopefully they go away with time.
I had this same procedure done about 2 years ago & it has been life-changing. I had the same symptoms you described. However, I had the procedure done 2X since the derm/laser specialist said that it requires 1-2 treatments. The second round, i was nervous about the swelling & did a few things differently that really helped (just in case you go back for round 2). First thing, elevate your arms as much as you can. Sounds crazy, but helps with the swelling down the back of the arms (which took almost two weeks to completely go away the first time). Also, ice as much as physically possible. It really helps for swelling more than you think. It took at least 6 months for the knots that feel like little marbles to completely go away. Only the slightest bit of sweating has remained. And by slight, i mean not worthy of deodorant. This procedure is so worth it.
Thanks for the info! I have come to realize I do need a second treatment- but I am not doing it anytime soon! when I wet deodorant wit antiperspirant, there’s very very minimum sweating and no body odor, but now I have to wet deodorant. It is still an improvement, but I do need that second treatment too.
not sure why it changed wear to wit or wet. sorry for the typos!

2 days after procedure

Yesterday I hosted a party, and I was busy the entire day. I only had a chance to ice maybe 3 times for about 15-20 minutes. When I went to bed, I still had a little discomfort, but no real pain. The swelling didn’t seem to worsen by the end of the day. I iced with frozen water bottles at bedtime. This morning when I woke up my armpits felt very swollen. It’s an odd feeling. It seems like my upper arms are more swollen, but the swelling went down around my actual armpit. I should say it went down a tiny bit- I’m still pretty swollen. Hopefully today I’ll have more time to ice and Reduce swelling. After a full day of hosting and running around like crazy, I had no BO and no sweating with NO DEODORANT!!! How crazy is that?! Anyhow- I’m a believer so far lol I’ll add some more pics too. Thanks :)

1 day after the procedure

Well it’s officially almost been 24 hours from the time the procedure started, and I feel like I have gotten over the worst pain. Now it just feels like discomfort and a mild sunburn. The swelling is awful, because I can’t put my arms down (it’s huge under there). It’s red and very edematous, but I am just thankful the horrible pain finally went away. The discomfort I feel now is what I imagined I’d feel the whole time, and it’s very tolerable. I’m not sure what hell I was put through last night lol I don’t know if I have been sweating or not because the wetness I felt this morning when taking the bandages off may have been from the frozen water bottles, but I do not have any body odor, and I haven’t put deodorant on, so that’s still working :) Anyhow here are some updates pics of my giant armpits! :)

Hi thanks for your reply! Glad to know that the most painful part is over and only lasted about 24 hours. may i know which clinic did you go to and would you recommend them? thanks!
Of course :) I’m in California. If you’re local I’ll message you the office. I do recommend them so far. They don’t adequately prepare you for after the procedure though lol
