Miraculous Double Mastectomy with DIEP Reconstruction

Dr. Orringer is a miracle worker. If I had known what he could do, I would have had my double mastectomy with the DIEP flap reconstruction 15 years ago! When I look at myself in the mirror, I still can’t believe that I was able to go through a double mastectomy and come away looking even better than I did before. The only scar you can see is the tummy tuck scar where the stomach fat was removed to rebuild my breasts. My breasts are my own, not implants, which was important to me. It was a challenging surgery, because of my previous breast cancer, but his team was able to save my nipples and skin despite one breast that was previously treated with radiation. My resulting flat stomach was just icing on the cake. Aside from the miraculous results, Dr. O is the most caring, patient, available and kind surgeon I have ever met.
