After being warned by reviews n a dermatologist in...
After being warned by reviews n a dermatologist in jkt (he has office on jln Walter monginsidi n strongly against threadlift), i stubbornly proceed with having threadlift done in effort to rid of my jowl. I am 40 y.o woman with 2 kids. During my second pregnancy at the age of 37 I gained a lot of weight that left me with lots of sagging skin. I tried to wxercise the best I could but the umbilical hernia I had prevent me from doing much.
So to make the story short, I browsed about the possibility of having a threadlift. I like the idea that it won't be permanent and love to see the before and after pictures (the good ones of course). From doing some research I found out that ALL of dermatologist are against it no matter where they are located due to the inconsistency result of threadlift and wether that's worth the risk. In aug 2017 I went to a clinic in kemang jakarta to get it done. This is not the first clinic I went to have a consultation. I noticed that most of the beauty clinic have GPs who trained in aesthetics with wide range of expertise, from just barely finished the course to years of experience on their belts. I chosed this Miracle aesthetics in kemang because honestly it is fancy and visited by local celebrities so I thought the quality must be good. I met dr Mery And she evaluated my face and quoted about Rp.19 million (USD 1,500) to have my face done where Rp. 10 million of which was for threadlift itself called barby miracle and the rest was for the hard filler for my chin and restylene for my undereyes. I stressed the point that I do NOT wish to have a V face Korean style, I am happy with my square face type but just help me lift this jowl.
My experience during the procedure was horrible! It was painful when she injected the anesthetic injection though I had a topical one prior to that. The anesthetic injected along the marking line which she drawed on my face. Once she was done with anesthetic, she started inserting a feather thread one by one and started to pull my skin while I was laying down. She put me in sitting position to adjust the lift but I think it was mostly lossing up the pull. After everything done she gave me mirror and I was shocked to face my of face, not that it was swollen by anesthetic liquid but also what appear to be uneven surface near my jawline it looks like a wave, yes the ocean wave where the diehard surfer love to surf. I am not kidding! Besides the uneven skin surface there are dents all over that appear to be the end of the thread that close to my skin surface and being pulled they are not even left and right. On my right side I have some dents and wavy skin and on the left side I have sent what looks like a dimple now.
Despite the request not to attemp of having V face she still tried to create one. Naturally I have big cheek bones and by the way she pulled my skin (towards the bottom of my ear lobes) it makes my cheeks even bigger. I hate it so much. I have been in tears since that procedures what made me sad was not the painful experience but the horrible result.
I think I will continue my review later. But for now you can check out my pictures right after the procedure, 1 day, 2 days and 3 days after.

Provider Review
Dr. Merry Tai
She was nice looking lady with a very tight face and her facial skin is very stiff. She is very friendly during consultation but unfortunately unable to show me some of her past work which she said due to the privacy of the patients (not even cropped pictures). I do not think she has a talented skill as her result of work on my face appear to be a cookie cutter result.
