It's now been one full week since the peel. By the weekend my lips did start to chap and I've been applying lip balm like crazy . I started to peel under my chin and neck a bit but that isn't so noticeable. I think there is some slight fading of the hyperpigmentation but some of it goes deep and mine isn't all that dark. My skin is softer, pores have shrunk and it has helped my oily skin. I'm sure some of my fine lines are also gone too although I don't have a lot of wrinkling yet. I'll wait and see how it is by the end of the week and if I can get back on my normal skin routine by then as I don't want to over dry my skin.

The end of day 3 I was peeling a bit as I hadn't moisturized enough in the afternoon. It was really hard not to peel it!! I just know from experience that peeling it is the worst thing you can do. I cleansed with a mild cleanser, then applied some vitamin C lotion and post peel protectant. The protectant stung a little bit but my esthetician said it did for her as well. It calmed down pretty quickly so not a big deal. I also used some aquaphor on couple areas that were a little more irritated. I've been applying lip balm religiously too as I read on here some had chapped lips so no chapped lips here!

Woke up this morning and the peeling was about the same as day 3. Washed with mild cleanser again, applied the post peel protectant and sunscreen. My skin looked really shiny but the peeling looked a lot better. I did put on a little bit of mineral makeup as well to tone down the shininess and even things out. My skin looks improved today and feels very smooth. I think some of the discoloration has faded a little bit but I doubt one treatement will entirely cure my issues. None of the discoloration I have is very dark or noticeable with makeup anyway but would be nice if there was a way to cure it.

It's midday again today and I have a feeling could be another day or so of peeling but overall the experience was not bad and my skin actually looks and feels great. Wish I could afford to get this treatment more often!

I've had a series of micro peels and glycolic...

I've had a series of micro peels and glycolic peels in the past. None of them were supposed to be as harsh as the vi peel. I gave it a try to see if it would make difference in my hyper pigmentation. I'm currently on day 3. I actually did the vpeel with the precision booster in the hopes it would be a little more intense with more results.

Day 1 the procedure was quick and only minor stinging. My face felt sticky afterwards and I tried not to touch it for the rest of the day. I did it over lunch and went back to work--tried to hide out for the afternoon since I was wearing no makeup. That night I washed my face and applied the vi peel and the booster packets before bed--probably around 8 PM. I woke up several times and my face felt really itchy and kind of burning. At midnight I couldn't stand it anymore and was afraid I'd either get no sleep at all or start scratching it in my sleep or that it was getting really inflamed. So I took my esthetician's advice and washed it off and used the post peel protectant. It felt better and I went back to sleep.

Day 2-suprisingly when I woke up, my skin looked great (just like my esthetician said it would). I washed with a mild cleanser, applied the post peel protectant and the sun screen with minimal makeup. I was nervous about doing the packets so I started earlier in the evening with them. I felt no itching or burning on night 2 and slept perfectly. My esthetician also called to check in with me to see how things were going during the day. I noted what happened over night and she said it was exactly the same experience for her. I think she fought through it and in hindsight, I wish I would've too. Maybe would have better results had I not washed it off after 4 hours.

Day 3- I was told the peeling would start today. When I woke up there was small amount of peeling. So I washed with mild cleanser, applied the post peel protectant and the sun screen. I hardly need any make up at all. It's now 1 PM and I'm at work with just minor peeling. I've applied more of the post peel protectant but not much. It actually has been very manageable. I try not to touch my face or peel it at all.

Hoping that the rest of the week continues to go well. I'm not sure whether I'll get a lot of results on my sun spots and hyper pigmentation but might diminish some lines and pores. My esthetician had the exact same procedure done and she suspected that I would react similarly based upon what she knew of my history. I think it helps that I've gone to the same person for other services and we know how my skin has reacted to peels, micro derm and other treatments before doing this one. Luckily for me the downtime has been literally nothing. I worried I might have to call in and work from home if I looked hideous but no one even seems to notice anything is going on at this point. I will comment back if anything drastically changes and if I see any huge results from it.

My esthetician is wonderful having done a few different procedures before this one and recommended this peel specifically for my hyperpigmentation issues. We'll see if it works! It is different for everyone but it's worth a shot and a lot cheaper than laser.
