Continued.......
After the second week I returned to work. I have a job that I stand the entire time and I think maybe I should have taken a little longer off.....Even after 2 weeks I was unable to bend over and standing was very painful on the areas that were lipo'd. I was extremely sore after working an 8 hour shift. Also if you have kids, you need to be prepared and have help available. I couldn't lift my 2 year old and that was a big deal. I was lucky that I had a lot of help, but even in the times that I did not have any help with me, it was hard. Just getting in and out of the car was difficult and that was after 3 weeks or so.I had lots of swelling My doc had me wearing the abdominal binder 24/7. I only took it off to shower. Only slept in recliner. Not gonna lie, it was alot harder than I thought it would be. At about a month and a half PO I transitioned from wearing the binder sometimes and sometimes wearing super tight "spanx" like attire.....although much easier to move around in and put clothes over, I had a lot of pain while putting them on and taking them off (going to the bathroom at work was a huge ordeal).I tried sleeping in my bed but there was no comfortable position. After 8 weeks dr told me I could go without the spanx or the binder. It was akward at first and almost a little bit painful to not wear anything at all but now at 3 months PO I feel great. I am still numb along my sides and along the insicion . I have gone down 2 pants sizes. So far I'm back to doing all the things I was prior to surgery, like going to the gym, mowing the lawn, etc. I'll continue to update with progress!
