SINUS Rinse - Best Thing EVER!

First of all - my follow-ups have been good - I was told to get the NeilMEd sinus rinse instead of a nettie pot. This is crazy! It cleans your nose out so much. Even if you feel clear. I do it in the shower every other day and wanted to share cause I think it is fabulous! Today is my one month and I feel really good....The other thing that I wanted to share that makes my life easier is I ordered A nose guard for my eyeglasses...After a rhinoplasty this is great! You can get it on Amazon. It's a "Nose guard for eyeglass suspension." SO UGLY but you need to wear glasses or sunglasses it is a must! LOL...IT IS ALMOST ABSURD the look but I am sick of holding my sunglasses as I drive...My Dr. said NO glasses on the bridge of your nose I believe for at least 2 months!!!!!

Sleeping - SO MUCH AIR!

I slept fairly well when I got to sleep but MAN the air flow is crazy. Its almost like VICKS inside my whole nose with actually taking VICKS - I feel a little more swollen this morning but overall so happy.
Will post more photos later of before and after of my side profile.

TODAYS IS THE DAY - DR APPOINTMENT with Dr. Griffin

I am soon excited to get everything off but I am also kind of scared. I kept thinking about the packing and how much it is going to hurt. What if this - What if that - A lot of panicky thoughts take over. I go in his assistant is awesome and we are talking about what a great Dr I have. Before he comes in she tells me she is taking off the nose cast - I am a little surprised but it is nothing. The cast comes off and even though I am swollen I can tell over the course of month - up to a year - there will be a significant change. I look in the mirror and I soon happy. Dr. Griffin comes in and is happy with the results but is WAY more calm than me. He tells me I am REALLY swollen and it will take time. The he starts to take of the chin bandages. I have very little feeling in my chin but when I look I am really - really happy. I have some definition that I have NEVER had before in my jawline. I feel like this is the best gift I could EVER have given myself. I do have some rippling under the chin but he tells me this will go away with time. Next is the stitches in my nose - WAIT - These aren't disposable?????? Nope. But I have to say it didn't hurt. Next the chair goes back and he is getting ready to take out the splints. YIKES !?! He assures me that it isn't has bad as I think. I. TRUST. HIM. He goes in and pulls and out comes the first one. Then the second one. When I look at them they are approximately 1" long and they are more rectangular than circular. I was surprised at how long they were and how wide they were. IT WASNT AS BAD AS PEOPLE SAY. After a second I had ALOT of air coming into my nostrils which I have NEVER EVER had before. It is almost too much air for me in the beginning. We chit chat - I really respect him. He tells me I am swollen and he will monitor me over the course of several months. At this point I am really happy!
