Face Lift, Neck Lift, Brow Lift, Lower Eye - Minneapolis, MN

I was interested in a neck lift and jowl tightening. My mother and grandmother had significant “turkey” necks and I was headed in that direction. Through my web research and physician interviews, I found out that a face lift was necessary to get the results I wanted. Because of the seriousness and cost of this surgery, I was going to interview as many surgeons as I felt necessary to feel comfortable. Dr. Tholen was the third physician that I interviewed. I decided on him that day. His staff was professional, yet friendly. His clinic setting is medical, yet warm. Dr. Tholen was honest, no nonsense, and listened carefully to what I wanted. His credentials were impeccable and his suggestions made sense. Together, we decided on neck lift, face lift, brow lift, and lower eye. To address my wrinkles, he suggested a laser peel at a later date.
The day of surgery, I was well taken care of. Darrin (CRNA), and Vicki were superb. Dr. Tholen talked with my husband and told him to call him at home at any time if I had any issues. (I did get sick that night and we called Dr. Tholen at 9:00 PM.) What really impressed me was the aftercare that I received. He saw me 4 times in the next 2 weeks. Crystal carefully washed my hair after surgery and that felt great. LaVonda took out my staples and cheerfully answered any questions that I had. Sonja and Jay were so friendly and helpful in scheduling and at the front desk. After that, I saw Dr. Tholen regularly until 6 weeks. Then, he had me see Marilyn for facial ultrasound treatments. I can’t say enough about her warm personality and professionalism. The treatments helped with the healing process and felt wonderful. The main goal of Dr. Tholen and his staff is your healing, health, and happiness with the surgery results.
I deliberately waited for 10 months after surgery to write this, because it takes a while to see results of a face lift. I am very happy with the results. I constantly get compliments that I don’t look my age. My neck is smooth, jowls gone, smooth forehead, and eyes look great. I had a 6 month follow-up with Dr. Tholen and have a couple of minor things that I want addressed. We are going to do those when I have my laser resurfacing. As I said, he wants his patients 100% satisfied. I would suggest him to anyone that wants a face lift. I will post again after my laser resurfacing.
