I put this in replies. Should have put it in updates for everyone. I have some advice. Make sure to have your bed or recliner ready for you when you get home. it is hard to get out of a recliner once you're in it. Use your butt and scooch forward. You cant use your arms for practically anything for a few days. Make sure you have a phone handy or maybe a bell to ring for service. Haha. I liked that part! Anyway one day when I was in the chair, my husband had to leave for work. I was so drugged with pain meds that I ended sleeping sitting upright because I didn't have the energy to get up and recline myself. Normal everyday things are taken for granted. Lifting your arms for anything. When you get up your breasts tighten and it's uncomfortable but doesn't usually hurt unless you don't stay up with your pain meds and muscle relaxers. Make sure to take all your antibiotics even if you are feeling fine. Make sure the kids help out with cleaning. Take it easy, you will wear yourself out quickly. The post op bra can irritate your incisions so have other comfy bras like the "miracle bra" and a soft cotton sport bra that is kind of long because then it will sit at least 2 or 3 inches below your breast crease ( less irritation). Have sweatpants and least 2 pairs, 2 zip up or button up hoodies and button up silk jammie's help to slide around and get comfortable without stretching your muscles too much. Bendy straws are good the first day. I had my chair in my room so I could rest privately and that was really nice. It's funny the door barely can be closed without bumping into the end of it. Don't be around cats! My doctor and the nurses said that cats dander (I think) can make you get an infection. My poor cat was downstairs in a room for about 4 days. Be careful of dogs jumping on you. Make sure everyone around you understands that you can't lift over 5 lbs. I went grocery shopping today. My boobs would "tell" me every time I picked up something too heavy. Listen to your body. :). It doesn't lie. for me driving was awkward. I drove 4 days post op. You have to change the way you drive a little bit. Opening the cars door or closing it was hard and still is somewhat. Just do things a little slower. Getting the seat belt on was difficult too. Well that's all I have for now. Happy healing ladies and good luck on your up and coming surgeries! If you have any questions just ask :)

Wow, you're looking great! Looks like they're healing really well! And for anyone who may be reading your review but hasn't yet had their surgery, I would have to agree with pretty much all the advice you offered (I wasn't specifically told to stay away from my cat, but he tends to like to snuggle and walk across my chest in the process so I had to watch that - little kitty paws putting pressure on the girls would NOT have been pleasant, I'm sure!). Can you believe it's already been a month? I'm a little over 2 months out, and it has just gone so fast!! Hope you continue to do well!

You look amazing! Can't wait to hear how your healing is going thus far. I'm seriously considering going with either Dr. Gervais or Dr. Tholen (next year)

Sorry I didn't respond sooner...I have a really hard time with this website...it isn't very user friendly for updates except through email. I wish when you logged on you could see the updates. Anyway...happy to hear you are healing! Any advice for us who are still going for the BA surgery? Mine is on May 23rd!! So excited....anything you wouldn't do again or would definately do?

Ya I also found a different site and that was even worse to navigate, so I decided to set up a profile on just this site. Anyways. Yes I have some advice. 1 week post op and I'm glad to be closer to full recovery. Breast don't hurt but I am taking muscle relaxers. They have helped a lot. Feels like when your breasts let down and become tingly and tight. Not comfortable but most of time doesn't hurt. Back to school soon. Ttyl. :)
