I got breast augmentation a few months ago. I had always thought about doing it but it always scared me a little to do something to alter my body. After one of my friends got it done and was so pleased with it and said it was so worth it I started thinking about it more. I am so glad I did it!! I was afraid that it would be obvious that I had it done and it wouldn't look natural but that is not the case. If you didn't know me you would have no idea that they aren't my own.
I also was very hesitant because I am afraid of doctors and needles and having anything done. Before this surgery I had never even had my blood drawn before because I would always find a way out of having anything done at the doctor. The scariest part of the whole procedure was having to have a pre-op exam and I knew they would need to draw blood. Well I made it through that appointment and the rest was smooth sailing. The surgery was over before you knew it and you spent the remainder of that day just laying low and watching movies. I had a hard time sleeping the first couple of nights, mainly because it was hard to sleep elevated and on my back because I am stomach sleeper. I had my surgery on a Friday morning and I was back to work on Monday. I work an office job and didn't have any issues with going back to work right away. I had my surgery in winter so I was able to dress in layers for comfort and to hide the fact that you can't wear a bra immediately after surgery.
All in all, it was a pretty simple process and one that I am glad I chose to do. I only wish I would have done it earlier so I could have enjoyed it in my 20's as well! :)
