I have wanted bigger breasts for as long as I can...
I have wanted bigger breasts for as long as I can remember, as a teenager I was waiting for my breast to develop and it just never happened. I'm addition I became passionate about fitness and weight lifting which decreased my beast tissue further and I felt as if I lost my feeling of feminity.
I started seriously considering a breast augmentation about 3 years ago but my significant other was very against the idea. He thought I was perfect the way I was. Finally after 3 years of discussion he agreed to me getting the augmentation.
I had a consultation with Dr. Tholen after a good friend of mine recommended him after her breast augmentation. I knew during my constipation with Dr. Tholen that he was the right surgeon for me. He made me feel comfortable, never rushed, and explained the way he performs the surgery and how his approach decreases complications. I immediately trusted him.
I had 2 sizes appointments because my significant other and I could not agree on size. I wanted to go larger them my boyfriend did and it was very difficult for me to decide between what I wanted and what he wanted. On the day of surgery I was having second thoughts about the size I chose and discussed this with Dr. Tholen. I expressed my concerns about being to small and explained to him what I wanted. I told Dr. Tholen I trusted his experience to give me what I wanted.
In the recovery room my mom and significant other came to see me and the nurse told is what size implant that was chosen. The implant size ended up being about 100 cc larger then I originally picked. My mother, boyfriend, and I were all surprised by this. My mom and boyfriend were upset and felt that the implants would be way too big for me, it was a rough first day after surgery with my mom and boyfriend being so upset and telling me how big and horrible my breasts would look on my petite frame.
I had a follow up appointment then day after surgery with Dr. Tholen and was accompanied by my mom. I discussed their concerns about the implants being too large and Dr. Tholen reassured me that based on my frame he felt the size implant be chose would give me the look I wanted. He also told me if I wasn't happy he would be willing to take care of me and put in smaller implants.
Yesterday was my 10 day follow up. And all I can say is I am SO happy I trusted Dr. Tholen, I love the size. I wouldn't of been happy with them any smaller and they fit my frame perfectly. I and so thankful he chose the size he did based on what I told him I wanted and he gave me exactly that. I am very early post op and my breast still need to drop but I already love them.
I would recommend Dr. Tholen to anyone looking for a breast augmentation. My recovery when very smoothly, I had no brushing, very little pain, and tons of support from him and his staff. I even called him at home at 9pm at night when I had a question about my incisions and he reassured me and never made me feel bad for calling him at home.
I couldn't be happier with my experience, only wish I would have done it sooner!
