I met with multiple doctors to discuss my body concerns. I hate my hanging stomach and extremely sagging breasts. After meeting multiple surgeons I went with Dr Gervais. I had started at 253 lbs when had RNY 3/12/14. I lost 100 lbs but regained 12-15 lbs. I maintained 165-168 for over a year. In visiting with Dr Gervais and discussing options, I decided to havev the belt lipectomy and breast lift (without augmentation). I showed up for my Surgery first thing in the morning and they took photos and worked out the cut lines. I suffer low blood pressure and almost passed out while being marked up so had to start iv a little early (it happened when I went for the breast lift also). Dr Gervais was very compassionate and understanding. All 4 of my drains were removed within 10 days. The belt lipectomy hasn't been very painful, however the first 24 hours after the breast lift were terrible for me. The most painful thing was removing my first drain, day 3. This was removed because it was constantly painful. I am still in compression socks and have to wear a compression band. The band is terribly uncomfortable for me and impossible for me to reposition on my own. I go in for another follow up next week and will find out how long for the socks and band. I only planned two weeks off of work and go back tomorrow. Hopefully it goes well. I showered twice already. Be prepared for transfer of muscle usage since you protect the abs and can't use arms over head or more than 5 lbs.

Were you able to go back to work at 2 weeks?

I was. I could not work the full 8 hours due to the binder pinching with sitting at my desk, but i worked 7:30-2:30. My normal is until 4:30/5. I've had no discomfort or issues with the belt lipectomy but struggle with discomfort in the breast lift.

I was wondering how soon after consultation were you able to schedule your surgery? Interested in the same doctor and surgery as you. Just curious about our experience.

Breast rolls

Maggs413
I'm concerned about the rolls that I've now got but hopeful they are going to go away. I was disappointed when i called today to see if i can take Midol due to my unbelievable period pain, which is not normal and it felt like the perdon who answered the phone didn't really listen. She asked when I see Dr Gervais again, 1/2, and pretty much said to just do what I'm doing and talk to him then, but offered no solutions or even reassurance that this may be normal. Also one breast is smaller due to swelling. The one more swollen is still painful.

Scars look incredible breast lift

Maggs413
11 days post op of breast lift and the vertical scars are healing incredibly well. My breasts are still sore and making noises (like the armpit fart noise). Still fairly high and tight.

Had to take my abdominal compression garment off for a bit (18 days post op). I'm having an allergic reaction and rash that's driving Mr bonkers. Cannot wait for that part to heal and go away.
