So about this plastic surgery thing...

It must be addictive. Lol. I've always hated my breasts (or lack thereof) and knew I'd eventually want to fix those too. Now that my bottom half looks sooooooooo much better, they look even worse in comparison! So I scheduled an augmentation for mid-September with Dr. Gervais. Lol
So stay tuned for another review! These sneaky surgeons must know they've hooked you once you get one procedure! :-)

All my drains have been removed. Thank god! Took my first shower in 2.5 weeks. There is no pain. My muscles aren't even sore. Everything feels tight but I wanted that right? Lol.
The entire area is numb is an irritating way, but I've been reassured that that will lessen over time. I'm still wearing the binder but get to wear tight Spanx starting next week.
I'm thrilled with my results. I actually feel skinny for once in my life. I really believe this is worth it...the cost, the recovery, everything.

Thank you! ! That's the plan. The doctor told me yesterday that I'm going to shrink even more over time. Unbelievable.

Day-um woman you look awesome. You must be so psyched. Did you find you needed the toilet seat riser and walker?
August 1, 2015
I DEFINITELY needed the toilet seat. No question. I never even thought of using the walker. Waste of money.

Recovery is going really well. I just had my third drain pulled. I have one drain left. I havery some really annoying/painful nerve twangs in my right hip. It radiates down my leg and towards my groin. At night It's maddening because it happens every couple of minutes and makes it nearly impossible to sleep! But it's good because I know the nerves are waking back up. Most of my midsection is really numb and I'm eager for that to get better.
I got some complimentary Botox today in my forehead and between my eyes (a thank you gift from the surgeon) so we'll see if that is helpful.
All in all, I would say this surgery is not nearly the ordeal I thought it would be. I've tried on my clothes a couple times without my binder and all the padding I'm supposed to wear around the clock and HOLY COW. For once, finally, even after losing 130+ pounds 13 years ago, I finally feel like I look thin! My only regret was waiting this long to do it!

So glad to hear your doing well besides the groin pain. Hopefully that gets better soon. Thanks for the updates it always nice to hear the true exsperience results. Wishing you well!

Omg you look awesome. I have a skin suit just like that! Lol. My butt looks like two deflated beach balls. Sigh. Had my facelift on 6/17 and that was more painful than I expected. Having a lbl and brachioplasty on 8/26. Am I crazy or do you think it'll be ok?
July 23, 2015
Wow! You're undergoing quite the transformation!
I'd say talk to your surgeon. My only concern is you use your arms more after an LBL to compensate for not using your ab muscles (like pushing up out of chairs, etc) so I'd be a little worried about that. If you have someone who will be around to really really help you the first week (at least) then it might not be so tough.
I'm jealous! I'd love to get my arms done!
July 23, 2015
Yep that's what I've heard too. Thankfully i do have someone for at least the first 4 days. Did you have to have rectus (stomach) muscle repair?
July 25, 2015
Yes I did. My surgeon said that he had to do pretty extensive work to repair the muscles. I've had three babies and I've always been really big with each of them. I've had the most pain from the muscle repair.
July 25, 2015
Gotcha. Luckily mine doesn't think he'll have to. No kids but did have major abdo surgery that *might* have messed up lower portion. I'm hoping no repair necessary cuz that accounts for a lot of the pain from what I've read.

Glad to hear you are happy with your results, congrats! How are you doing today..activitywise, what kinda stuff are you eating? I've been trying to stock up on things in prep for my surgery in Sept. Looking at food labels alot more closely, man they put crazy amounts of Salt in everything, and just normally salt bloats me up, grrrr.
July 30, 2015
I'm doing way more than I should be! I'm basically doing almost everything I want to do at this point. But don't tell my surgeon. Lol. I feel fine so it doesn't seem like I need to be taking it easy.
Eating. I'm mostly trying to make sure I drink enough water. Eat clean and simple. The processed foods are the killer for sodium. Just try to have lots of fresh, simple foods on hand. Fruits, veggies and meat. I do have to say though. ..the only thing that helped me poop was a cup of coffee in the morning. TMI but stool softener and laxative didn't work. Coffee did. Lol. So make sure you have coffee on hand!
August 3, 2015
Lol! I have noticed coffee keeps me regular as well, too funny! Yeah, I've been looking at product nutrition info alot lately ,and my goodness the sodium! Solo, happy for you! I'm getting excited, but nervous also. Really glad you are happy with dDoc G and his group.
