Well, the nightmare is not over.... Now my other eye is doing the same thing!!! This has been horrible!!! I am depressed, I don't feel like leaving the house. I'm worn out ...my right eye still has a hard ,weird lump but now the left eye is red, inflamed and swollen. I don't have the energy to go back to the eye doctor for more steroids. After reading more reviews there are a lot of people that this has happened to. Even more depressing is the fact that many are dealing with this for months and even years!!! I can not believe this is happening, the Radiesse was injected 18-Oct .... I am sick about it. I think my next step will be to a trusted plastic surgeon to see if there are any options for me. I really don't have the money for surgery right now but if he thinks he can fix this I will start saving. Learn from my mistake...avoid this product. it is not worth the risk!!!!

Things are looker better. The steroids helped tremendously. My practitioner is helping me through this. He injected a steroid to lessen the hard swelling and filled in slightly with Restylane. I still have a very hard as rock , lumpy bump under my eye. It may last over a year:(
My advice to anyone considering this treatment of Radiesse is this, if you want to learn from my mistake:
1. Ask lots of questions. You are getting something that has NO counter-measure if it doesn't turn out the way you want.
2. Try it on your hands first to make sure you will not react badly.
3. If you start seeing redness or swelling , go back immediately and get on the steroid ASAP.

Looking good. Was it dilute kenalog that was used? Was it just in one spot or all over the parts of the face?

Radiesse is not meant for under the eyes. It is too thick. Radiesse is meant to
be injected deep and great for cheeks, midface and jawline. HA filler works great under the eyes and lips like Belotero as they are injected superficially. NOTE: You will get bruising under the eyes.
I have had Radiesse twice in 18 months and love the results. It lasts longer.

I previously had only had Bellafill injection with no problems. A year later my practitioner thought Radiesse would last longer... this was the beginning of the nightmare. 8 days after the injections near my temples my eyes started getting very red and puffy. This continued to get worse and I thought I had a cellulitis. I went to my primary care physician and was given Clindamycin. This helped calm down the redness and hotness but I was still left with horrible swelling, puffy eyelids, under eye edema that was now getting rock hard. I decided to go to an eye Dr. and saw the top eye doctor in my area. He said it was a allergic reaction to the filler and that I needed to find out exactly what was injected. I was also given a steroid. I went back to my injector the next day. ( Today) He said it was Radiesse. Apparently the counter methods for other fillers do NOT work on Radiesse. He had only one other person that had an adverse reaction . He of course felt terrible for me and was supportive in helping me resolve the problem. He said to stay on the steroids and even to extend them past the week's worth that I was given, also to apply warm compresses, avoid salt and alcohol. . He will see me again on Monday and I will also return to my eye doctor on Wednesday. The most concerning part is this rock hard lump sitting right on the bone of my lower eye bone socket. I also have one on the other side but closer to my nose, smaller and not as noticeable. This has been traumatic to say the least. This is the part of my face that I was most self conscious about and now I look even worse. It sounds like it will be this way for weeks if not longer. I am writing this so others rethink getting Radiesse , and in no way want to throw anyone under the bus. It is not the fault of anything other than my body's reaction to this product . I appreciate the advice on this forum and am only sharing my experience to help others that may have a similar experience like mine.

I really can relate. I too had radiesse injected under my eyes and also had a severe allergic reaction. Was prescribed prednisone and antibiotics. Unfortunately the meds didnt take the red crescent moon shaped welts away. Struggled with this for 7 months and wore glasses to try to conceal how bad my under eyes looked so i feel your pain. I went to several doctors and no one could help me. They all told me to let it absorb and eventually the red welts would go away. After 7 months of depression over my eyes i went to a facial plastic surgeon. He said je could fo a lower bleph and get rid of the radiesse. I trusted him anf had it done. My eyes are so youthful now. Best decision i ever made. I will never ever put any filler in my body after that experience. My ps was my saving grace!

The doctor didn't tell you what he was going to inject? That is ridiculous!

I have recently having the same reaction but mine was delayed i have 1ml filler volbella in the lips first week in December 2017! 10 weeks later started to react lips swelled went lumpy then 2 weeks after my cheek eyes swelled and filler that i had 10 months ago went hard to i had volbella in the tear through and voluma in the cheeks. i was given antibiotics and steroids but didn’t start to subside till I started to get it dissolved i still have lumps so product is still present but not having a reaction anymore which makes me think it could of been Bioform which is a bacteria and you get the same reaction as a reaction!! i am left uneven and unhappy and no money to correct it
